History

Established in 2011. I was helping friends move because I had a rare gift, a full size pickup with a cap. I realized so many moves in New York were small, this a perfect fit for my truck. He is the best! He was beyond reasonable in pricing and was able to help in such a short notice. He went with me to pick up my mattress as well as my new AC and he carried everything up to my 4th floor walkup apartment as well as put everything together and assembled my AC.Could not have been a nicer guy. I definitely recommend him to people moving stuff whether it be good or small. Keep up the good work Barry!

I honestly never write reviews for places, but this had to be said.I encountered exactly the same situation as stated in Gabriel M's review. He was the most unprofessional mover I've ever hired. We agreed on a time and he not only did not show up, he didn't call to say he would be late or anything. After realizing that he was late, I had to call him and he said "I told you I wanted to do it earlier". His texts the prior day said "I may check and see if I can do it a little earlier is that ok?", to which I told him I couldn't. He did not respond to that, but just decided not to show up on the day of the actual move.During our conversation, he was incredibly rude: "well I won't be able to finish the (current) job if I keep talking to you""if you want me to come help you, you should go figure out how late I can show up""you're welcome to just call another mover, I won't be offended"Really? He also refused to pick up the phone after our first conversation. If you have time to respond to a text, you have time to have a conversation. He said that he could do 4.30 and then when I said that was fine he countered saying "realistically I can't do 4.30". He then asked if we could just leave the items downstairs and he would pick it up. Obviously I couldn't just leave something on the sidewalk for someone who would show up god knows when. Ended up just giving up on this guy and getting someone from Task Rabbit to pick it up instead and that was done in under an hour.I'm sure he's a nice guy, but if you really want a stress free move with someone responsible who isn't going to shrug it off when he bails on you, this probably isn't the right guy for you. Maybe it was just my luck, I don't know.

Barry was great! After reading through some sketchy Craigslist postings I came across Hell's Kitchen movers on Yelp and I'm glad i did. After we agreed upon the time and rate, the mover flaked and cancelled on me few hours before the day of the move. He did not return calls and just texted me that it is not going to work out for the day of move.that's it !He also mentioned that he forgot about Verrazano Toll. Seriously? You are in moving business and living in Brooklyn and you did not know about the toll. Fine. I had no problem paying extra as I was left out with no choice but he did not respond. I would not recommend booking this mover . Super low customer serviceUPDATES: Owner now forged and fabricated txts( unethical and illegal) to come up with a story to cover his very poor service
