Daniel Kaner and Evan Callahan moved me into my new apt in NYC on March 2, and they were amazing.  It was the most seamless move I have ever had and I always use Gentle Giant, and always have had a great experience!  They were on time, actually a little early which is always a good thing!  They were so sweet, and smart.  They put everything together for me, and made sure things were centered, for example my entertainment center, etc.  They were so efficient and quick.  I have a 1 bedroom and they were done within 2 hours.  They took the wardrobe boxes for me, as they brought them up first so I could hang my clothes etc. and they got rid of them for me, as well as other packing paper and boxes.  They were AMAZING!!!!  Best move ever.  These men are professionals!!!!  They were the best, and I want to thank them again.  You guys were great, and made my move, low stress.  Thank you so much!!!Warm regards,Suzie Wise

I used Gentle Giant sometime ago when they were in Tarrytown NY, and the movers were so quick and so efficient, it was unlike any moving experience I've ever had. My move was local from one side of Harlem to another but I couldn't believe how smooth, how easy, how quick the process was to move my items from one location to another. Antonio was extremely helpful whether it was boxing, wrapping, sorting, packing, you name it he was on it and was not afraid to get dirty. Thanks again Gentle Giant, I will definitely be using you in the future.

I found Gentle Giant Movers while searching for another moving company. From the beginning the service was helpful and attentive and I was able to setup a move quickly. On the move date, Daniel & Angel called when on their way, arrived early, packed in record time, and completed the process by getting all of my Moms stuff into her apartment in well under the estimated time. They were great. I would definitely recommend Gentle Giant Movers to anyone looking for a top notch operation.

Gentle Giant movers lived up to the word of mouth positive feedback I had heard and I am very happy I chose them recently for my Manhattan to Stamford move.Their estimate came in at the high end of the three companies I got estimates for. However I decided to go with them as I made a bet they would be the less stressful and smoother move experience. IT WAS TOTALLY SPOT ONFirstly - excellent communication. From the sales personnel, who replied to my emails and phone calls promptly and precisely, to the head of the moving crew on the day of - Tony - I felt like they knew every quirk and detail of my move. Secondly, smooth move as efficiently as possible. I'm used to moving, local and international, and I know the pitfalls of what can go wrong and try to minimize those. Thirdly, conservative/accurate estimating. Nearly all the nightmare stories about movers have to do with the unexpected 'additional' costs that make an actual price on the day of moving balloon from the estimate. I grilled them on what additional costs I might incur, and once I factored that in, I was well within my ballpark in the final price when I completed the move. Gentle Giant don't advertise and are under the radar. I happened to hear about them from a family member, and by chance got a hold of their business card in my lobby bulletin board in Manhattan. In spite of their minimal advertising, minimal Yelp presence, and higher than others estimates and pricing, I would highly recommend taking a look at Gentle Giant in your area as an option if you're as particular about your movers as I am.

So I initially contacted them fairly early in my search for a moving company.  When I received a quote I had questions about the quote - as they were the first company to quote me for a "2 day move."  I was paying a fee for this - and I have never used a moving company prior.  I questioned him why this was considered a 2 day move after he told me that his guys were allowed to only work 14 hour days if they were driving.  We were moving 350 (approx) miles away so they would be driving - however the drive is only 5-5.5 hours and it takes 1-1.5 hours to load our stuff (we moved here with more stuff than we have now and it took no more than 1.25 hours).  He responded by telling me that the by law it had to be a 2 day move so the holding fee was $150 (I think).  It made no sense to me that they would work 1 hour and then drive 350 miles the day of delivery, unload our stuff, then make the drive back - which is how he explained it would work.  I asked him then if they could just load and drive to my new loaction and unload, then stay the night there and drive back in the AM (seemed like a much better spread of their time). See we will have a newborn and I was worried about not having his stuff with me and I explained this to him.  He told me they would charge me $300 for housing the men overnight that way.  At this point he didn't want to answer my questions anymore and he told me I could find a different moving company - they could not help me.  His name is Jason B.  I tried to explain that I just didn't understand the charges but he stopped responding to me at that point.  Well after getting qoutes from 2 other companies as a 1 day move - they then informed me they had made an error and it would actually be a 2 day move.  When I tried to email Jason (I did a few more times to let him know I was now aware that it would have to be a 2 day move and other companies were wrong in thinking it could be done in one day, that I wanted to see the quote from them again to compare as I think it was cheaper - he refused to respond to any of my inquiries.  So apparantly if you have any questions about your bill that you want to have answered so you understand why a 5 hour move is costing thousands of dollars - especially if you have never used a moving company in the past - this guy gets his panties in a twist and then refuses to help you.  I guess my few thousand dollars is not good enough.  Thanks anyways.
