Elate took the stress out of moving and allowed my wife and I to truly enjoy transitioning into our first home. They were fast, efficient and fair. Didn't feel like we were being penny pinched. I would recommend David B and his crew to anyone looking for a top notch moving team. Kenneil

David B. and his crew were super efficient and super careful. They were at my apartment on time in the morning and accommodated my rushed elevator schedule with finesse. They were extremely careful with my things - helped me pack, disassemble and repack as required. The crew was also very courteous with my neighbors and building management as well. Confirmed where everything needed to be placed and were mindful to place things in a way that made them easy to reposition / unpack later.Overall, the experience was very low stress.

I moved just about 1 month ago, within Manhattan I hired elate for both packing and moving - and I promised David B and his team to leave a review! Because they were amazing!I was an anxious mess around moving time - Elate Moving really took the stress out of packing and moving. Their prices are competitive. I called around several companies before deciding with Elate - they were the only company that offered to send someone to my home to give a reliable quote. It was particularly helpful for me because I was debating whether to using packing services or not. The guy was able to give me an all inclusive final price - which similar or less than what other companies have quoted me. (and like other reviewers, some other companies seem to insist that this would have been a 2-day job)On the day of the job - they were on time, and before they started, they reviewed with me what is to be packed and what does not need to be packed - and any instructions I had regarding packing. The packing was careful but swift. I was nervous and tried to help here and there, but they just told me to sit back and relax. When we got to the new apartment, they asked me where I wanted each item - before they put the furnitures down and re-assembled them (yes they had no problem with disassembling and re-assembling large items, especially of the ikea nature.) At the end - they also helped me gather some of the boxes/packing materials that I already unpacked and disposed of them appropriately.Ultimately they were nice, professional, careful, efficient, and complete - also doesn't hurt that the team was very good looking ;). Anyway, hiring them was the best money I have ever spent - I will definitely hire them again for my next move.

This is the second time in a year I've used Elate and I can't praise them highly enough.  David, Jenia and Oleg, on this latest move, were as courteous and professional as their counterparts whom I met in my first move.  Packing, moving into storage, then moving from storage to a second location:  they did it all.  And all came through unscathed.  I am happy I found Elate, and I'm sure you will be too when you use them.Jeanne

I hired Elate for a move from Manhattan to Toronto, including full packing/unpacking service.  They also came in advance of the move to reposition a very large and awkward piece of furniture in advance of the move.  They charged a flat fee with an extra charge for the additional work.For the repositioning of the furniture, the movers who came didn't seem prepared for the task, even though I had explained in advance exactly what needed to be done.  They complained bitterly about how heavy the piece was (I had suggested they send three people, but they only sent two) but eventually did the work.The move itself went much more smoothly.  The crew did an excellent job carefully packing everything.  They were very organized, which made the unpacking much easier.  Our delivery date was several days after the move out date, and it was easy to have Elate store our stuff (in the same moving van, without having to unload and reload it) for a few days, for a reasonable additional charge.On the moving date, delivery ended up being about three hours late due to an issue at customs.  I'm not sure exactly what happened - the movers and the customs official each blamed each other for doing something wrong.  Fortunately they got through without any major issues.  Still, the movers could have budgeted more time to clear customs.  It seemed like they had allowed for less than one hour, so the three hour delay completely threw off the move-in schedule.  The move-in itself went quite quickly with no issues.Overall, I'd recommend Elate, as they did a great job packing and moving my belongs without any damage or any major issues at the border.
