David, Carlos, and Everett from Truck 51 are a godsend! I had to be out of my apartment by 7:30 and was told they'd arrive by 7AM sharp. they got there at 6:40AM and we got to work! They moved things efficiently and carefully, taking care to wrap items that were delicate with additional padding.We had to wait about an hour to get into my new place and they even chilled and had no problem with that. Once we got in they put the movers moving the other guy out of my new apartment to shame, they were done moving me in before the guy who was moving out even had all of his stuff out!This is my second time using Dumbo and it definitely won't be my last. Highly recommended!

On the recommendation of a friend, we booked Dumbo Moving for our move from Harlem to Bed Stuy. Though they pushed back the arrival time on us the day before the move, the move itself went off without a hitch... until the very end, when they broke our large mirror taking it out of the truck. The foreman was very forthcoming about the damage but any goodwill I was feeling evaporated when he told us that we may as well not bother filing a claim because we'd selected the basic insurance and would get only $40 for a $200 mirror. Instead, he asked that we work out a deal. I offered to forego the claim in lieu of a tip, but he pushed back and basically said that would be unacceptable. I ended up tipping them because he made me feel so bad! Since then, we've been uncovering several other broken or damaged items (including serious chips out of our dining table, which they moved uncovered). I will be filing a claim and will certainly not be using Dumbo again or recommending them in the future.

They refused to honor a Groupon I purchased stating that the price was 'already discounted' although there was no discount on the invoice.  They then cancelled my move the day before, even after I paid for the entire invoice.  I have never experienced such poor customer service, especially through a company that works with Groupon.  Groupon handled the situation perfectly and agreed to refund my money after seeing the invoice from DUMBO.  I would never recommend this company.  It sounds like they're scamming people out of money.

Don't use Dumbo.They are careless with your belongings- broke everything I had (coffee table, bookshelf, jewelry box, scratched dresser).When I called to make a claim, they were rude and offered me $70. After weeks of asking to speak with the owner, I finally settled on $175, which didn't nearly cover the damage. If you use them, make sure to get full insurance because they will break all of your stuff.Would NOT recommend these people to anyone.

Moved recently and dumbo gave us the lowest quote we could find. The movers were excellent. And the move went really well.
