History

Established in 2009. Established in 2009 by 2 former movers that have 13 years of expedience in the industry. Our thoughts when we first opened the company were,«how can I make it easier on customers that are over paying for their move?»«How can I provide the client with a guaranteed price prior to the move, without having to charge extra fees at the end of the process?»The answers to these questions are simple!Rather then providing our clients with a by the hour or weight «estimate», we're providing a price per item by collecting the list of items over the phone or in person. We call it «hassle free moving». you call, you get a price and you DO NOT expect to pay extra...not even taxes!!!

This review is years late but here it is:I used this company in 2013 to move from Queens NY to Atlanta and they were great! They showed up earlier than expected and I wasn't even done packing and they seemed like they was in a hurry so they helped me pack and marked all my boxes, wrapped all my furniture in blankets and loaded the truck! We took inventory of everything and off they went! If my memory serves me correctly it took a good while (a week plus) for my stuff to get delivered but I was aware of that and that was fine with me as I took my time getting down there myself! They gave me a window for delivery and made it more towards the end of that window (I was the last drop off) All of my items arrived safely and in the condition I left them in! No complaints at all (and I'm actually hard to please)So I gave them 4 stars not because they didn't do 5 star work but because I recently requested a similar quote and it's $1,500 more than 3 years ago! With gas prices being at an all time low and I'm a returning customer I guess I was looking for a better price! But hey I drove the truck back here so I guess I'll be driving it back down!

Horrible movers. They BROKE my table, a desk, and damaged my buffet, speakers, and a whole host of smaller things. Also, they LOST my mattress.  Lost it.  How do you LOSE a mattress?  They didn't even bother to pack up my bathroom, and left my bicycle at the origin.Save some money, and just break all of your belongings yourself.

My husband and I moved from NYC (East Harlem) to the San Francisco Bay Area (Berkeley) and used Cube Moving.  We were skeptical as we have moved previously and always did it ourselves (rent a truck, tow a trailer, etc.).  We never considered a moving company, but given the long distance move, we decided to compare prices.  Cube was the most competitively priced option between a handful of moving companies, Uhaul, ABF, Pods, etc.  They came on our scheduled day and time (on time) with 3 very nice guys who loaded all of our packed boxes.  They also wrapped our mattress, boxspring, bedframe, an antique wooden chair, and a large rolling toolbox.  They were done with all of this in about 1-2 hours and were a pleasure to work with.We stayed in touch with them and gave an earliest delivery date to our new address on the west coast.  This allowed us to drive across and stop along the way as we pleased.  When we got to CA, we checked in with them and they told us an estimated delivery date.  The actual delivery date ended up being about 2 days later than the estimate, but we expected some tolerance.  Our stuff arrived in a 53' trailer pulled by a sleeper truck, so you would definitely want to make sure you have enough access for a 65'+ truck.  The driver and his helper were very nice and made the truck fit on our residential street (taking some tree branches with them only).  They unloaded everything in about 1-2 hours and brought it into our apartment.  All boxes were accounted for by their inventory and my own. As for breakage, there was a few pieces that were broken including a serving dish, 2 lamps, picture frame, and 1 plate.  Not bad considering the distance and quantity of stuff.  Since you pack your own boxes, we took equal responsibility for the breakage.  You could tell that they handled the boxes pretty roughly, but that was expected.  Pack smart!  I did document the breakage as there is insurance included in your price of $0.60 per lb.  I sent an email with pictures, but unfortunately never got a response from Cube.  I decided to forget about it since it worked out to about $10.  I just wanted to see if how they would handle it.In the end, we were very happy with our service especially compared to the price we paid.  If you are moving, do yourself a favor and give Cube a chance.

DONT USE THIS PLACE!!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! I would give it no stars if I could.  Now that I have your attention I just want to warn anyone reading this not to use this service if you want a hassle free professional move.  I moved from Brooklyn to San Francisco and received a reasonable quote and dealt with a friendly professional customer service rep.  It was all downhill from there...On the day of the move while the movers were having me sign the papers before they took off, one of the movers showed me paperwork regarding the appropriate gratuity that I should be giving them and explaining that different movers would be delivering my belongings and they get a separate tip.  I found that completely unprofessional.  You don't ask for or expect tips; they are earned.  As a long time waitress/bartender who makes income from tips I found this to be inappropriate.  It only gets worse.I received a call from the moving company as to when my stuff would be getting there and they assured me everything would arrive Aug 2.  The morning of Aug 2 I called that morning to get a time frame of when the movers would be arriving.  The customer service rep said that maybe today, Sunday (the following day), or Monday, who knows (he actually said who knows), spoken with such nonchalance.  Two hours later I get a call that my stuff would be there in 10 minutes.  I got everything ready to receive all my furniture and boxes and then waited.  And waited.  Two hours later I called to find out where my stuff was and the customer service rep said that they couldn't get ahold of the driver and DIDNT KNOW WHERE THE TRUCK WAS.  He said that he had tried to call the driver several times but couldn't get ahold of him.  He then gave me the driver's number so I could contact him on my own.  I texted and called the driver several times.  A few hours later I finally got a text back saying that he wasn't the driver but he would try to find out who was.  He then gave me a different person's number of who could be the driver.  I then tried to get ahold of this person.  More time goes by.  I then get a call from the "second" driver and he said that he would be there in a few minutes.  He was not.  I called him multiple times; when he finally answered he explained that he got me mixed up with someone else and he had no idea where my stuff was.  This shit went on for 5 days.  Me trying to speak with someone at Cube Moving who knew anything about where my stuff was.  One of the false drivers happened to be a dispatcher with a third party mover.  He was the only helpful person I dealt with who seemed to care about finding my stuff.  I had to speak with so many rude and incompetent people at Cube who thought it was no big deal that we couldn't get ahold of any drivers or knew where my things were.  And if they did give me any information it was wrong like when my stuff would be arriving (the ETA changed about 3 times) or who my driver was and their number.  My stuff thankfully arrived a WEEK LATE and Cube Moving called and said that since an 18 wheeler couldn't fit on my street I would have to pay an additional $450 to rent a smaller truck.  I was outraged and explained how I didn't feel I should have to pay any extra due to what they were putting me through.  The customer service rep kept interrupting me and arguing with me about all the details of my move.  He cut me off arguing had they arrived on time would I then have paid the $450.  I was told my stuff would arrive Thursday.  Which turned into Friday.  It finally arrived Saturday, a week after it should have.  The movers took my stuff on July 14 to GUARANTEE that it would arrive on Aug 1.  When my stuff finally arrived my dresser had been smashed that I then had to have repaired.  I have moved quite a few times before including across state lines.  This company was by far the most unprofessional and rude people I have ever dealt with.  I am shocked that this company has so many good reviews.
