It's so simple, but not easy to find in New York City where many companies will prioritize volume over quality, packing their schedules so tight that you as a client may fall through the cracks. History

Established in 2010. Cool Hand Movers began in 2010 amid a recession and a time of rapid change in New York City. Everyone seemed to need moving services and as long as you were communicative and could inspire trust — not to mention be fiercely competent and organized — people would keep calling and so would their friends.Since then the company has expanded substantially and covers a broader range of clientele in New York City and throughout the state. We now offer packing and unpacking for full family households while sticking with our roots moving one-bedroom and studio apartments and delivering art and furniture.

Jonathan and his team did an awesome job moving my apartment. They got to the apartment early (after calling ahead first) and finished the job more than an hour before the quoted window ended - seriously impressive. The work was done quickly and conscientiously. Flat rate quote I received was reasonable given the scope of the move. Highly recommend.

Honestly not proud to say that I have moved 3 times in 3 months (1 of the times from storage unit to unit in the same building!) BUT Matt and the movers were always happy to help and never complained or made it hard, extremely positive and always with a smile. Thank you Cool Hand!!

Everyone who works for Cool Hand Movers seems to be named Matt, but all of them were great :) Moving sucks under the best possible conditions--I was moving in the middle of an actual blizzard. These guys arrived on time despite the snow, did a great job, were quick, careful, transparent, and friendly, and came prepared with good packing materials to protect my larger items. I went with them because very few other companies offered a flat (non-hourly) rate and it made my head hurt to think about trying to rush my movers in order to avoid expensive additional fees. These guys are great. Matt accommodated an unusual move which involved transporting a very expensive couch from a warehouse in Bed Stuy to a performance space in Soho on one day during a specific time window, and then picked it up a week later for a return trip during a another very specific time window. Cost was cheap and they had insurance which was extremely helpful. Super professional and nice. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Matt and his crew helped me move into my new place smoothly and efficiently. They provided excellent communication in coordinating my move and were very courteous throughout the entire process.
