My girlfriend and I scheduled a pickup for a couple suitcases we needed to store until we moved into a larger place. We scheduled pickup time a few days away and felt confident our stuff would be picked up. The next day we received an email saying they were at 100% capacity for pick up and it would be a couple weeks until they could reschedule. So my girlfriend called because this is 100% unacceptable and we need to reschedule why have appointments if Box Butler is just going to decide they are too busy? The guy on the phone then stated that the real reason our order was canceled was we were "out of zone" and would have to pay a $100 fee. Umm, yeah right. The website took our address, accepted and said nothing about being out of zone. I think this smells like bullshit and call them. Suddenly, I'm told, there is an email sent last night about being out of zone that she never got. I'm told the website takes the order but they actually process it. So why didn't the website say this?  So let's work through this: 1. Box Butler takes our order and then we're told they're overbooked.2. We call reschedule and are told we're out of zone.3. I call back to figure out what on earth is happening and they make up a phantom email saying we are out of zone. Most likely, Box Butler is swarmed and is trying desperately to find some reason to cancel orders. The question is are you going to want a company that makes up flimsy excuses when they're overbooked to safeguard your stuff?Tl;dr  Had an appointment with Box Butler to pick up our stuff. Box Bulter cancels the appointment because they are overwhelmed and basically makes up flimsy excuses twice about it.

Reliable and professional, everything works as promised. They stored my items for over a year and the boxes came back clean and fresh, no dust even. The delivery guys are all very polite and professional, I am really very happy with the service. Used it initially to store items while I was overseas for a year, I am now using them to store my AC units and bicycle during the winter. Well worth it. The only catch: you do have to schedule pickups and deliveries with some advance notice. They suggest 48 hours but on the weekends they get very busy so it is best to call several days in advance.

I had an apartment to stage and I needed a receiver, however, the furniture and accessories were all very low quality and it made no sense AT ALL to use the typical uber high end white glove services. Box Butler was perfect, they are a bit like a choose-your-level-of-service receiver. They received/stored the boxes. I did not need them to inspect every box. In cases where a box arrived damaged, they sent a photo and allowed me to decide if I wanted them to inspect the contents for damage. I was able to cross reference my order with their online system to track which items arrived when. The online system isn't super fancy, and in cases where the package label was not descriptive, I opted to guess which item had arrived. (I could have paid a slightly higher price to have them open the packages for me so that I'd know exactly what had arrived.) Delivery day came and the process was seamless because they had submitted the building's insurance requirements in advance, allowing my client to reserve the elevator. Hank and Ray were my butlers, and they were very helpful. I asked them to unload the rugs first so that I could unroll them before the rest of the packages were brought into the small apartment. They helped me unroll rugs, protect them, and then brought the rest of the boxes in. Although they do offer the white glove option of unpacking boxes and building furniture, I opted to do that myself. The price was excellent, I highly recommend them, and I will absolutely use them again.

Very good service! I had to move quickly & needed to store quite a few items. No time to search for a facility, Get boxes/containers & Get my items there. Box Butler made it easy & took care of everything. All easily done online. I had to make a few changes & had questions-the couple of times I called they were very helpful. I would highly recommend when you need storage--especially in Manhattan.

Even though I didn't end up using their services, they were so helpful all along the way as I tried to decide what was best for my move. Even though I ended up with a different moving option a little closer to my area, I really appreciated how Box Butler, especially Joanne in the office, was patient and communicative and willing to help me in every way they could. I just wanted to tell others about them.
