These six gentlemen did a phenomenal job on both the pickup and delivery of my goods. They were on time, friendly, efficient, and extremely safe with my goods. Thanks for making my transition to NYC so smooth! Pickup team: Gior, Lasha, and Alex. Delivery team: David, Luis, and Rigobert.

This bunch has now set up shop at 724 Garrison Ave, Bronx. Same phone number: 718-852-0768, now a moving broker. We dealt with Jay. We were told we'd see the movers in N.H. noon-2:00pm, but the driver called to say it would be 5pm on a Friday before they got there to pick up our things. They arrived at 6:30pm. As per the contract, the first and second third could be paid by credit card. In the meantime the price had gone up $400 even thought we had 35 few boxes and less furniture than we had told "Better Rate" when they worked out the estimate. Miraculously the cubic footage had increased significantly with less stuff! When the driver called Sunday to say to expect him at 8am Monday, he told us we had to pay the final third (now $400 more than the original estimate) in cash. We told him we would have the cash. Monday morning (today) I phoned at 8am to make sure the company was fine with that. Jay's boss told me actually since they had picked up so late Friday that they had not run the credit card. The surprise was that, ignoring their own contract, they wanted a cash payment for Friday night as well ($600). How many of us are carrying around $1220 at 8am on Monday morning? I pointed out to Jay's boss that their movers arrived late and took our credit card information. My statement to him was: "Don't lay that at my doorstep." When the movers arrived at 8:30am they refused to unload our furniture even though we had the requisite $622.84 in cash and they had our credit card information. I spoke to Jay, who told me I had sworn at his boss, and "Who the hell do you think you're talking to?" When my wife got on the phone to point out the contract issue, he told her "Go f**k yourself". I went to the bank, closed an account and pulled together $1220.84. The Budget truck movers brought our things into the house.Further research reveals that this bunch of thugs and thieves has an F from the Better Business Bureau of Greater New York. They in fact are not authorized to use the BBB logo that was on their website before they took it down. So if you want to do "business" with a bunch that will insult you, cheat you and basically hold you up for your personal belongings, proceed at your own risk. Be sure to ask for Jay, a real charmer. But contact him soon.

My wife and I recently moved from 2x2 bedroom in NC to AZ and had a short time to find a moving company before we had to hit the road. We did our research but there was only so much time we had. We found out as we went through the process a lot of these moving companies have different names they go by and make it difficult to find out information about them online. We originally called Liberty Bell Moving Group (which is another company you shouldn't do business with) who brokered the move out to Better Rate Movers. Better Rate was supposed to be at our apartment on a Friday between 2PM-6PM. We received a call at 5:30PM from a guy named Jason with Better Rate Movers saying they wouldn't be at there to pick up our stuff until Sunday. I explained to him that wasn't what we were told and i didn't think it was very professional that they called me so late to let me know of the delay. Jason was extremely rude and aggressive on the phone to the point i felt uncomfortable with him or his company touching my belongings let alone moving it cross country so we called Liberty Bell back and requested a different company. Liberty bell found another company called Enterprise something or another. We looked up the reviews and we were happy enough because they could pick up our belongs the next day. The two guys that put our stuff on the truck were pleasant and hard working and got our stuff out within a few hours. Fast forward a few days to the point we are halfway across the country. We get a call from a voice that sounds unfortunately familiar. It's none other than Jason from Better Rate Movers. He wasn't quite as rude as the first time but he still sucked. As another day went by more confusion ensued. We spoke with Jason again and each time he became more and more awful to deal with. I literally have no idea how he has a job or how he's allowed to speak with people, period. While all this was happening, we were supposed to be dealing with Liberty Bell only but they weren't much help either. Actually they were no help at all. We moved without having an apartment ready in AZ but the movers were aware of that the entire time. We signed a lease the day after we arrived in Phoenix and had a storage unit ready to go for the movers to drop off our property. Instead of calling us, like they said they would, when they arrived in town, they placed our items in a storage unit on the other side of the city. it took us over half an hour to get there and they wanted us to sign the contract saying we received all of our boxes and none of our items were missing without looking at any of it. it was the craziest thing I've ever heard. We ended up having to pay the company extra to redeliver our items a few days later because they had to go do another delivery in CA before they could load our items back in the truck and drop them off at my new apartment. While all this was happening, they acted like they were doing us a favor by offering this service. Payments were sketchy. They did not want to take credit or debit cards and only wanted to deal in cash. We expressed up front that we would only be paying with a CC. They agreed until it was time to actually drop off our belongings. We amended the contract but they still wouldn't release our stuff with our a cash payment. Our stuff was eventually dropped off after i rented a uHaul and had some local guys help me unpack it. There has been no phone call to see if everything was delivered properly, how the experience was, or anything normal like that. Please do not use this company. They were completely unprofessional (with the exception of the two guys who packed our stuff in NC) through the entire move. Every person I interacted with was rude, aggressive and threatening and that's no exaggeration. Their DOT number is: USDOT 2448460

My husband is deployed and I had to move across the country by myself because my dad is sick and needed me home. Better Rate Movers was hired through the broker I used, Coast to Coast, I would not recommend either company. I spoke to 2 men on the phone at Better Rate Movers and both were rude and laughed at me as if I should understand the ins and outs of the moving industry like it was my job.

These people are some of the "outright"worst people I've ever come across in my life time in terms of working with to move furniture. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR NOTHING!They brokered the shipment of my furnishings in storage with two convicts from Charlotte and a company based in New York BETTER RATE MOVERS of the Bronx New York. My merchandise was stolen from a container that they UNWILLFULLY PLACED MY MERCHADISE  prior to shipping it from Charlotte North Carolina to New Jersey. They have no insurance, offered no settlement, and have offered no assistance in terms of getting me my merchandise or getting me paid for the merchandise that was stolen. My attorneys and I are going to sue the hell out of them. I'm suing the hell out of better rate movies of New York which has an F grade. My insurance company's going to sue the shit out of them as well. THEY ARE SCUMBAGS!
