Basic Moving

So I meant to write a review last year when this happened.I was in Sunset Park nearby Basic Moving and I needed to buy a bunch of boxes.I walked over to their offices and met the owner, who was extremely friendly and accommodating. If I ever need something moved, I'll give them a call.

YIKES!!! STAY AWAY from these crooks! They are disrespectful scondrals and crooks. They don't honor their quotes, the owner yells and screams very disrespectfully to all of his customers and if you store with them they lie about extra charges and tack on fees such as "loading dock" fees. A complete nightmare.  The estamator ERIC shows up and presents a completely different image than the actualy owner who is a crook and a pig. Don't take my word for it, after you get the estamate call the office and ask for the owner and just try and have a rationional conversation with this man. You will be yelled at and acreamed at. Like I said their are crooks!!! The real kind! I wish I could pick negative stars!

This company is excellent!! With just a day notice, they were able to come as scheduled with 3 men that were extremely professional and worked at a timely manner as careful as they could be. I would recommend this company 110% to any friends/ family as I would use them in the future as well. Quotes and estimated time of completion were on point.

These movers were absolutely amazing. Ben, Yurov, and Mark are extremely professional, timely, and detail oriented. They did such a great job, and really know what they are doing. My building is in a pretty hectic area in Brooklyn and with strict building rules, impossible parking, and narrow hallways, they managed to pull it off flawlessly. They really take pride in their profession and I would highly recommend them to anyone in NY.

Basic Movers are a good and friendly moving company, and they did a solid job on my move.I have not moved much in the past, so I didn't know what to expect. At best moves seem like they are horrible, suck, or they are manageable. Ours was manageable, and I do think it's thanks to Ben and Basic Movers work and attention. Ben was available to us throughout the planning and estimation and even worked on the job himself. His quotes seemed to have everything explained and backed by numbers so it made sense. It was on the expensive side overall, but it was a complicated move.His team was great, they were careful, attentive, and diligent. They were pleasant while doing the work, and were able to help me get rid of old furniture and took it to the landfill for an additional fee. The back office team was good to, and were able to take care of all necessary insurance paperwork for the building we were moving too.The unloading at the new place went smooth and everything was placed where we needed it for us to unpack. The walls were left undamaged and we were very happy with that aspect of the service. Unfortunately this is where things went wrong. We had two pieces of furniture damaged, as well as some small things, but really only saw one during the move. A red chair that was stained. Basic movers were apologetic and tried to clean the stain without success. We then tried to get a little bit of money back from the move to cover the damage and Ben talking to us and worked with us to find some solution that would satisfy both sides.While everything wasn't roses, I feel overall it was a good experience and would consider using them again when I move.
