Years of hauling and handling expensive and fragile musical equipment was inadvertently training us to become expert movers. Musicians. I've never ever ever had to have furniture moved before, so I was brand new at this and slightly scared lol. I found them on Yelp, and all the reviews proved true for me. Band with a Van really made my move a painless, straightfoward process. Rob and his helper moved my bed, desk, chair, a mini shelf, and some suitcases in less than 1 hour... probably 30-40 minutes total including the drive. I didn't have to lift a finger. I had exactly the amount of stuff as I mentioned when I first contacted him. He factors in that sometimes people underestimate their stuff on accident so they prepare accordingly. Rob is extremely courteous, good at communication, and a nice conversationalist. You will feel safe around him, don't worry... I'm just a single girl and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all around them. He didn't mind waiting a few extra minutes as I ran back from work to my apartment which I found very nice. They managed to move my furniture between two very crowded apartments without knocking stuff over. Even my roommate was impressed! The moved the furniture and situated my room exactly how I wanted it. The cost was what I expected, Rob's estimate was spot on. I paid with cash. I think checks can be accepted but cash is preferred. I didn't research around for different estimates from other movers since I didn't have time or the patience, but I am happy with them --I just wanted someone reliable. I recommend these guys a lot! They're wonderful!

What a great experience!! Moving is never fun, but Rob made it almost painless. He was friendly and polite. He and Alberto were early and asked if it was okay if we started the move, which it definitely was. They navigated the very narrow halls of my old apartment easily and were ready to go in no time. The quote was the same as the final price, even though I had a couple extra boxes than I was planning on (isn't that always how it is). Overall, 10/10. Easiest move ever. If/when I move again, Rob will be my go-to.

I had a couch that I've been needing to move, but moving it on my own just wasn't possible. Rob was very responsive and very helpful. He gave me a variety of options to help cut costs and in the end, his costs were much more reasonable than everywhere else. It also helps that he's very polite and courteous and super helpful. Was easy to setup and he got my couch where I needed. Highly recommend!

Believe the reviews you read about Rob and his Band With A Van. He was responsive on email. Gave me a good price. Was early to meet me and brought my couch from Westchester to NYC without incidence.
