Had a cross country move to plan and was deciding whether to go with a national carrier or a local mover. These guys were recommended by a friend who used them and I liked the fact that the guy on the phone provided me his cell number, rather than going through some operator.The price was surprisingly less than Allied, which is one of the bigger national movers which I had used prior. My equipment, including an antique glass table I had picked up on Craigslist just before leaving arrived intact, good job guys! Deducted one point for them being a bit late to pick up, something to do with the recent hurricane but at least they kept the lines of communication open. Would use again.

Zero starsPoor communication. The estimate more than doubled and this broker has no power when it comes to having the actual movers complete the multi-location moves. When we call them your advised to email, on their incoming voicemail message?When we did email on the day of the move, which was pushed back a day (not good considering I flew in for the move), no one reaches out when we voiced our concern, to the issues above. We finally talk to someone Wednesday and they tell us they will call us back Thursday..... Which turned into end of day Friday, because we called them. The arrangement we made to have a key item dropped off, half way then turns out to be a 200% mark up!? Wow. The last email we received blamed us for all the reasons this didn't work. Very personable and accommodating during the initial estimate over the phone.... All sizzle and no steak.

Service was top notch! I spent the summer & fall "down south" in South Carolina and finally decided to come back where I belong. I came across  Atlantic Xpress based on a family member recommendation, they having moved in the spring. Just wanted to say my move went just as smooth as theirs. Having moved many times before, I know how easy it is for things to go wrong but not this time. I will recommend you to my own friends if they ever decide to leave NYC

All in all very satisfied with my move. I went with Atlantic Xpress based on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. Being an optometry school student, I've had to move several times over the last couple of years, this particular one being from Las Vegas to Chicago, and was by far smoothest experience of them all. The crew was quick & courteous, the delivery was on time and the price was right. Can't ask for more! Hopefully I don't need to move again anytime soon but they would be first on my list to call if I do

Born and raised in Brooklyn and after 33years I decided to move to sunny Florida. With a 11yr old daughter and living in the same apt. for 10yrs. you can't imagine the amount of stuff I had. Living in NY space is tight, but I had a decent size 2bedroom and every closet looked like a completed Tetris level. I knew I had to go through it all in order to minimize the work. After a lot of sifting and internal arguments as to what needs to go with us and what needs to be let go...I started thinking maybe I should sell everything and buy new. Being I am one adult I couldn't rent a truck and drive it down myself cause who would drive my car. So I started to look for a good moving company that would not rape me in price. Of course I did what every New Yorker does and asked my friends to see who had a connection in the industry. I work EMS so I couldn't afford to spend a lot on this. I got a referral from fellow FDNY worker and after speaking with them on the phone I felt very confident that they were the company to use. The person I spoke with was so professional, He knew his stuff and I didn't feel like I was talking to used car salesman. He was honest and gave me a great quote. I was happy I didn't have to sell and buy new stuff, so was my daughter. A week later the big day came with everything packed(except furniture) and set aside neatly I felt like jeeze this is going to be a long day. However these guys got it done in less than 8hours. They took apart furniture faster than tire changers in race pit stop. I was impressed. Did I mention my apt was on the 3rd floor of a private house(attic). The staircase was so narrow and the furniture had to be manipulated(twisted and turned) so many times just to get it down to the street. These guys not only got it down quickly, but they handled my stuff with care. Seriously I couldn't believe how good they were. I would use them again without a doubt.
