Where do I begin, their rating is so low it can't even register..This company is absolutely fraudulent and needs to be put out of business. I contacted Express1Moving on 6/29/2014 to have my  items delivered from NY to Houston..The contract I signed specifically stated they do not subcontract and their workers are background checked..Red Flag #1 I had items in 2 diffent locations that needed to be shipped on the same day, the driver attempted to collcet one and leave the other..I was able to get that issue resolved. The driver then asked when is the earliest date you would like your items delivered, I replied July 5th, needless to say my items arrived today July 24th.. Express 1 Moving subcontracted my order to A and B Shipping who are so fraudulent it is ridiculous. I was told I would receive a call 12 hours prior to delivery, I never received a call. I was called 12:20 p.m.  3 hours prior to the driver arriving at 3 p.m.while I was at work, I am in the middle of meetings and I cannot get there until 5p.m.- I called Express1 Moving, I was told it would be fine the driver would wait and there would be no charge.. I called the driver to make him aware of this he told me he would be leaving and would charge me a $600.00 redelivery fee..Seriously!!! I told the driver that I would call the police and report my items as stolen, at this point they turned around. The delivery men were unprofessional and fought the entire time, they cursed one another in my presence I was so uncomfortable that I sat in my car during the delivery. I cannot begin to express the 3 hours of horror I spent trying to communicate with this group of conartistsExpress 1 Moving stated that they called me, which they never did and they attempted to leave a message but my machine was full, which they also never did. I will be lodging formal complaints about both these companies with the DOT, BBB and on every website review board I can find to make the public aware of their fraudulent ways..I implore you run hop skip and jump away from EXPRESS 1 MOVING which run by Sally aka Angela, and A to B Van lines..

First thing is first, they used to be called "Quality Van Lines" (same phone number and address), but re-branded in 2013 because they had over 60 complaints in a 2 year span on Yelp.I did not have any of my stuff for a month as the time that elapsed from pick up to drop off was 24 days (which was 17 days later than promised). Imagine not having ANY of your stuff for 3.5 weeks: no clothes, no pots/pans/plates/silverware, no tv, no bed, no towels, no lamps, etc. It was the worst experience of my life and I honestly think AtoB Van Lines is criminal. They don't answer your phone calls once they have your entire life in a truck unless you call from a random telephone number. They make up names in the office and only have first names: Mary, Terry, Alicia...they get tripped up and don't even know their own names because they are fraudulent and don't want people coming after them personally. I filed a police report after 20 days because I legitimately thought they stole all of my property. It was only after the detectives from MA and NY harassed them did I finally get my life delivered to me...of course only after a hostage standoff where the delivery driver would only accept $600 cash before even showing me that he had my boxes on his truck. They do not have mover's insurance, so if your building requires Proof of Insurance, they will not be allowed to deliver without added costs to you.I took three separate days off work for times they told me they would be delivering. Obviously, they did not come the first two times. When I received my life, some art was damaged, picture frames were broken, and every piece of woodwork had scrapes or gashes in them. I was shocked the TV and mirror were in tact. Quite possibly the worst business I have ever come across.

The WORST. You will end up paying way more than you are quoted. They are a bunch of crooks.  Save yourself the hassles and go with a legitimate company and pay a little more.

I'm editing my review from 2 stars to 1 after a recent update! My mother used A to B Van Lines for her move this past weekend from New Jersey to New York.  Mom isn't too "tech savvy" so she asked me to write a review on her behalf.  Pros:  The movers were on time, they were able to produce a receipt for the cash exchange, and Lorenzo was able to fit a rather large couch into the apartment without taking the door off.  For these things, I gave them 2 stars.Cons:  MAJOR ISSUE: My mother went back to her old apartment today to clean.  She  had old beer in the refrigerator from a holiday cookout.  These guys took the beer.  Horrible!Lorenzo repeatedly and aggressively solicited my mother for a tip.  From the moment they arrived in New Jersey to the moment they finished the move, Lorenzo asked my mother to tip them at least 12 times.  In addition, when the movers arrived to the drop off location, they stopped to buy lunch and proceeded to sit in the truck and eat.  I think if someone is paying you by the hour, how dare you factor in your own paid lunch break.  Then, when my mother asked them to work and stop eating, one of the three movers said "you're interrupting me eating my red velvet cake," jokingly, I'm sure.  The movers used tattered, filthy blankets to cover her possessions.  They were smoking cigarettes while they moved her furniture.  They do not supervise your belongings as they're moving them.  I was watching the dog outside and happened to go in for a moment, when I saw my mother's flat screen TV and some of her boxes unattended in the lobby.  Someone could have walked off with her TV and no one would have known.  The tape they used to hold together the blankets from the TV and couch, they threw all over the floor.  When they left I had to clean up bundles of used tape. Two of the movers got into an argument in the hallway when one guy throws a tantrum.  Literally, the guy storms off!  My mom asked what his problem was, and the other mover said "he just needs a timeout!"  Again, you're being paid by the hour and that shouldn't have to factor in your conniption fits.  And, after prepaying the agreed amount, after being mistreated and having your possessions mishandled, even after all of this, Lorenzo STILL had the audacity to ask my mother for a tip.  She told him she wasn't able to give him one, and he asked her repeatedly "come on, you can give us a little something," begging to be tipped. After seeing the way my mom was treated, I could never in good conscience recommend this company to anyone.  If you are searching for a moving company, please go elsewhere, you will be treated better.
