Update: United States Logistics has failed to respond to the BBB complaint I filed against them. Preparing to escalate my complaint to the attorney general, FTC, etc. Seeking legal counsel. Inexcusable. DO NOT under ANY circumstances do business with these people!!Please see my previous review for full details. I have lost $2000 to these crooks. Beware!

I got scammed by John Ryan/USL in November 2016 for my move to another state. He had me wire the first 50% prior 25% at pick at 25% at delivery. After endless back and forth he finally picked up my belongings and dumped them (literally dumped them) in a storage unit a few miles away from my house under his name. He never delivered my belongings and held them for ransom. After having to give him another $450 he finally released my items to me and I had to U-haul everything including my car which he never picked up, across the country. He took payment for a service he never delivered. Be aware and spend your money elsewhere.FYI: This is the second yelp account John Ryan has created.yelp.com/biz/united-stat...More victims report this company on several websites such as these:bbb.org/chicago/business...ripoffreport.com/reports...

Update: patch.com/illinois/deerf…I tried to use this company for a large move across state lines. When I signed the credit card authorization to charge the deposit, the sales agent (John Ryan) charged my credit card twice. Upon further inspection, the website for this joke of a company uses stock images for the employees as well as the customer reviews. They are just the stock images for wordpress.com. I have also pulled the insurance information for this company and they are insured for $0. Run away. Since then, I have tried to call and cancel my deposit and the company will not return my calls or answer their phone. Run, do not walk away. Also, check out the reviews of "movewire.com", which seems to be another business operated by the same person. Proceed with caution.

If I could give United States Logistics negative stars, I would. Our company reached out to USL to help us with an office move. We paid them the deposit up front and assumed everything would be taken care of. The day of the move no one showed up. No call no show. We tried to reach out to John Ryan several times but got no response. Needless to say our move did not go smoothly and we had to scramble and find another mover at great cost. When we tried to get our deposit check back, John continued to lie, repeatedly, about the status of our payments, even going so far as to send us phony screen shots of bank account balances in some attempt to get us to back off. Finally we received a check after threatening legal action. The check did not clear due to insufficient funds. Stay far, far away from these guys.
