After a search of a couple of the folks and reviewing their consumer and movers association results, I still think they have the best reviews compared to other companies out there. With that being said, I don't think I would give them 5 stars because: -Price is high even when you get "basics" and pack your own stuff-Unnecessary charges like distance away from the apartment. I understand I agree to the terms, but I ended up having to pay for it even though I don't know what the street space would be for a new place-- it shouldn't matter. I am moving a 1-BEDROOM APARTMENT-- I don't need a large truck. -Sales folks making promises that couldn't be guaranteed-- they were about a day or two later than I expected, but that information was given to me by the movers-I was told I'd have the same mover move me from Chicago to San Francisco and I only found out AFTER they picked up my stuff. That was unnecessary. -I was not happy how they handled my stuff at drop off. They left my stuff out in the open with no one watching and my mattress was covered, but pretty flat. It ended up being fine, but the folks who took care of my stuff in Chicago were MUCH better than the team in California. So I'd recommend them more for in-state moves, not out of state. -Cash only at end of service... really? I'm so sick of cash-only transactions :P But in the end, they moved my stuff and none of it was broken or damaged which is important. They were OK otherwise but I think for the cost, the service could have been a little bit better.

We hired Smooth Relocation to take us down to Florida when I got a job offer down in Fort Lauderdale. Derrick was the person who called me and went over all the details. Because I'm a single mom money is tight so I really needed an honest mover to help me. Derrick spent over an hour with me cracking jokes and really helped me figure out everything I was taking. There price was good so I hired them. The move went great and the guys were very professional and well mannered. It took 8 days to get everything down and Sam the delivery driver was great to. If you need help moving and want someone who cares about the customer and takes pride in there work talk with them.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!!! This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. I don't even know where to start. Long story short, it took them 17 days to haul my things from Indiana to Florida. I was told that in a worst case scenario, it would 10 take 10 days. WRONG! George was the man that I spoke with throughout this entire process. Once 14 days hit and I became concerned, I called the office to find out about my things. They gave me the run around for an entire week, telling me that I would get a phone call and email in 5 days time. NEVER GOT ANY OF THAT! George never replied to my messages about the status of my things. When they finally did come to deliver my things, Cesar (moving coordinator) did not want me to pay him in front of his colleagues. He told me that they were "local movers" and that he was uncomfortable with me giving him the money in front of him. But you're comfortable enough to allow these men to move my things into my home?! Comfortable enough to allow them to know where I live?!?  When the colleagues started moving my things in, they wreaked of alcohol, and the stench filled up my house. They didn't know how to put my bed rails together, so they left it unassembled. They lost the screws to my futon. They were missing a package from the inventory list, and once they found it, they couldn't tell me where the correct numbered package was. One of my side table has a broken leg now!Lastly, they had the audacity to ask me for a tip?! How unprofessional!! I will NEVER hire them again.

Is it possible to give "zero stars"? This company is very inappropriately named, as nothing about my experience with them was smooth. I could detail many paragraphs of the nightmare I went through with this bunch, but instead I'll just say "run for your life, just say no, DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE." You'll regret it.

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. I could have hired a U-Haul for 1/2 the price and a better experience. The delivery was supposed to include 3 days notice; I received notice on a Friday that delivery would happen on a Sunday or Monday - and then the driver showed up on a Saturday, with no one to help him unload the truck. Additionally, he did not perform an inventory and tried to deliver items associated with another delivery, so I ended up having to do my own inventory. Customer service was initially verbally sympathetic, but in the end only offered a $150 refund on a $3200+ move for the inconvenience of a super-long and early delivery. Additionally, the driver tried to talk me out of calling customer service, and when I did, they would not process the refund without additional confirmation that nothing was broken, leading to additional expense and inconvenience on my part. And to top it all off, the guy who had led the team that had packed up my stuff at the other end of my move texted me just a few hours after my last wasted call to their customer service department, and his text said "Hi sweetie." (I obviously blocked him immediately to prevent further communication. That text was AT BEST unprofessional, and quite honestly, more than a little scary.) I cannot recommend highly enough that you NOT hire this company. Everyone I interacted with who works for them, especially in their sales department, is super-nice, but this company was the WORST possible choice for a long-distance move.
