Schlep’s service is very poor and the experience of using them was about as unpleasant as a moving experience could be. I called Schlep to get a quote after they were recommended by Pottery Barn and provided dimensions, estimated weight, and pickup/drop off locations. I was told the cost would be about $180. I entered in all the details from my call on their website and was invoiced for $186.80. They also requested a picture of the item. I thought everything was good to go.

Then, 24 hours before the move, they called to tell me they could no longer honor their quote and had to bill me $227. I said that was unreasonable, and I was told that if I wanted to cancel I would only get a 90% refund. This is breach of contract 101. They waited until it would be impossible for me to make alternative arrangements, tried to force me into a higher price, and wouldn’t even refund me a full amount if I decided to decline their price hike. The rep initially offered to “discount” the move to $211. When I objected again, I would told they were sorry and that they would discount my price further.

Come moving day, they picked up the item a little early, which was fine, but then the drop off was over 2 hours late! I took off work to be there for the movers so this was an extreme inconvenience since i had to get back to work. Schlep offered an additional 15% off for the inconvenience. Ok, whatever.

But then I get the bill, and now it’s a random $192 and change! Even 15% off the $211 price would have been $179. So what the heck??! Now I’ve got to complain even further about these random prices and very sketchy billing practices.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They are not reliable and they will last minute gouge you when you have no alternatives. That’s not how business should be done.

What a great company.  What a great service they provide.  And what great people they employ.  Daryl, my 'hired muscle,' took on the jigsaw puzzle of moving out and then rearranging and then fitting everything back into my 5x8x10 storage unit, getting it in order and ready for movers to come next week.  He was on time, personable, and said he really enjoyed working out 'puzzles' like mine.  What I really liked was that all of Schlep's employees are verified and trained.  If you are a single, older woman hiring a stranger to help you move around boxes and furniture in a huge, almost empty storage facility, you want to be sure that you will be safe.  Thanks, Daryl and Schelp.  You guys are great!!!

Was referred to Schlep after purchasing two pieces of furniture from District.  The entire process was seamless - from scheduling to the move itself.  The Schleppers were very courteous, friendly and did a great job.  They wrapped the furniture for protection and handled it with such care as if it were their own, not rushing simply to finish the job but making sure it was done correctly.  They even came in and surveyed the route first to establish a plan before starting the job.  The only confusing part was I downloaded the app first, but you can't create an account (that I am aware of) on the app, you have to start on the website, register, and then use the app later - word of advice for first time Schleppers.  Highly recommend Schlep and will use them again!

5 stars! I have done 2 moves with them and both times the service was impeccable.The most recent move was even a last minute request at 3pm for a 7pm Friday move. They scheduled it and finished before 8:30pm. All furniture and items were cared for and delivered intact. Thank you!

Hey Schlep your website sucks. When I tried to book a job it tells me that my perfectly usable card's security number is incorrect and their customer service person told me that my credit card was probably being declined by the bank. No not all been using it and successfully used it later that night at a brick and mortar store and to book a service with Dolly on their app. Furthermore, there is no way for me to check if I have been successful in booking a schlep or even checking to see if I have erroneously booked a schlep. So, I have to either call your customer service number which frankly was not too useful the first time because they cannot pull up anything on their end or even complete the booking of a schlep or wait for confirming emails. Considering how "helpful" customer service was previously I will go with option 2. OY VEH!
