Seriously, AWESOME!Thank you Johnny and team for providing top notch service today. The communication from the beginning was great.Scheduled my service to start at 8AM today and the team showed up at 5 'til. Very efficient and carefully wrapped anything fragile. We had two stops and they were speedy the entire way - even with some tough parking situations. Can't give them enough praise.Hopefully won't be moving again for awhile however, I know who to call for my next move. Thanks again!!

I used Rogers Moving Service once before and had a fantastic experience. However, after using them for my move in early November - I can honestly say I will NEVER use them again. First, getting in touch with them is nearly impossible. 90% of the time their phones go to voicemail. They DO respond to emails quickly, though. So.. they showed up two hours late. This didn't bother me too much because I understand moving can easily take longer than expected - and I was booked on an afternoon time slot. The part that annoyed me was the team showed zero energy and was extremely slow. One of the movers (Dana) was playing in his phone the ENTIRE time he was "moving" my stuff. They were taking so long that I wound up joining in the effort and moving stuff myself. This guy would carry a box to the truck, take his phone out of his pocket and play on FB while he dragged his feet back to the apartment. It was crazy. Literally EVERY piece of furniture they touched was damaged. Along with the walls at both my old apartment AND my new one. I completely understand that things will get scuffed when moving and I always expect a few bumps and bruises - but this was neglect, plain and simple. Two dressers, and entertainment center, my leather couch, a shelving unit and an antique cabinet were all scratched and dented. There were black marks on the walls of my old apartment from one side of the hall to the other.. and one that was 4 feet tall at my new place. I tried my hardest to get the scuff off the wall with a magic eraser but it is scratched into the paint, unfortunately. At the end of the move - which was completed a half hour earlier than expected since my boyfriend and I decided to help - one of the employees decided my rate was "too low" and called a supervisor to ask if I should have been charged some kind of extra truck fee that he didn't see on the paperwork. I explained to both him AND the "supervisor" on the phone (Debra) that nobody had ever mentioned this additional fee.. it was not in my estimate, it was not in the paperwork I signed, I hadn't paid it the last time I used them and it was certainly not fair to add it on so late in the process. After a 15 minute conversation the supervisor finally got huffy and gave in. (Note: this extra fee would have added almost $200 to my total price.)They wrapped our bed in plastic but then dragged it across the parking lot and got it dirty, anyway. Boxes that were CLEARLY marked "Fragile" had boxes piled on top of them and were collapsing under the weight. They also stole our personal furniture moving pads that we purchased ourselves.First thing Monday morning I contacted Rogers Moving Service to speak with a manager and explain everything that happened and my disappointment with the services provided. I spoke to Marcus, who said he was a field supervisor and would relay my information to the owners. He asked me to send pictures of the damaged items - which I did. Two days later I still had not received a call from an owner or a manger, so I called but of course did not reach anyone. I sent an email asking for an update and a return call - but only got a generic email asking me to fill out a "claim" for damaged property and that the process could take 30-60 days. I emailed Marcus back and explained that given the circumstances and the terrible experience we had - I would prefer to speak to someone sooner than that. Clearly our issues went beyond the damaged property. He explained that the "truck fee" was a mistake on their side and that the supervisor should have NEVER mentioned it to me. While I appreciated that, I still pushed to speak with a manager. FINALLY almost ten days later I was able to reach the same "Debra" that was so rude on the phone regarding the truck fee. She said she was a manager, but when I told her my name she had no idea who I was or what had happened. I proceeded to politely inform her of the details.. and she interrupted me and talked over me at every turn. She said she "found it hard to believe" that her workers were on their phones and that she had "never had any complaints before." I asked her if she got the 20+ photos of damages I sent to which she replied "you'll need to fill out a claim and wait 30-60 days like everyone else." I have never dealt with a company so completely unprofessional. They do NOT take care of your property. They don't answer their phones, they don't respond to any concerns. You're better off spending a few extra bucks and hiring a better crew elsewhere. I also find it a bit convenient that when I logged into Yelp today to write this review they had changed their name from Rogers Moving Service to RMS.  (Shady.)

I read great reviews and expected above average quality, but got below average service.THE WORST PART of all, RMS management is in complete DENIAL of any/all mistakes. DO NOT BOOK HERE.WAS a good business, now degrading i guess!Question To RMS Management: 1. Why did you accept to move , when i had 33% more ? , only to end up over charging ?2. Why you ended up charging me for a delay in Truck JUMP START ? (or) even use a truck that requires JUMP track.3. I did pay for delays/more stuff from my part. DID you ?The bad:1. Late by 45 minutes. Not that big of a deal.2. After noting down the items, i had 33% more stuff than what i got the estimate for. It should have been a make or break deal. After mutual discussion and updating the quote, mutual agreement was to carry forward with the move.3. But then the whole day, the moving went slow.4. Truck broke down , needed jump start and has to be parked 15 feet away for 1 hour, causing even further delay in the move.5. Started @ 9:45 and ended @ 4:45 , for a total of $913. $15 DISCOUNT for TRUCK break down, which is NOT fair. It took 30 minutes to give Jump start and bring the truck to running, then we moved the truck. But parking the truck far caused at least 1 hour of delay.I tried my negotiation, yet how do i prove when there is no willingness to accept the delay.-- NOT FAIR.6. Power went down in Naperville causing a delay of 40 minutes, for which i paid, rightfully so.7. There was space in the truck but the movers refused to take 3 of my suitcases because it was just too late. Now i have to rent an UHAUL VAN to carry the remaining suitcases.Parts which are my mistake.1. I did NOT get a full inventory and the items i had are 33% higher.2. I should have started move say 8:00 a.m in the morning. The OK:1. NOT "busting work" movers, "Take it EASY" movers. Moves and lifts items at a moderate and steady pace, through out the day.THE GOOD:1. Good guys, good service, except the truck part.2. No damage to any furniture or walls, what so ever.

RMS was the perfect moving company. Everything was so smooth from the time of booking. Our 4 movers were right on time. They were phenomenal. Professional, courteous, so careful...just great. When we noticed the move would take a bit longer than expected, I was instantly notified and requoted. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thanks RMS!

I would not ever use Rogers Moving Services again. Our movers told us that they would arrive between 10 and 11 am. They were two and a half hours late. This wouldn't usually bother us because on the quote, it clearly stated that they cannot be held responsible for running late. However, no one called, emailed, or let us know an estimated time that they would arrive. My roommate called the office number over and over again, with no response. Thankfully, we didn't have anyone moving in to our previous apartment on that day- but if we did- we would have had a hefty fine. When the movers did finally arrive, no one apologized. No one said sorry for being late, or explained why they didn't call to notify us. They proceeded to move our things out- as slowly as humanly possible. Dragging their feet, only sending one crew member upstairs at a time, and one of the members was in the truck playing on his cell phone. This is because they charge hourly and their maximum rate is for 3.5 hours. In total it took them 4 hours to move my roommate and I three miles away from our old apartment. They were unprofessional, slow, and unapologetic. When I went to give the members a tip, one of them rolled his eyes when he saw what I tipped them. Would never ever use them again!!
