These guys were awesome, and I will never use anyone else in Chicago. Especially at the price they charge.To be honest, I was a little worried when I scheduled, as there didn't seem to be much in the way of confirmation and I wasn't confident they would show. But they were EARLY on the day of the move, by 30 minutes, to make sure they had all of their equipment and truck ready.They were fast, careful with everything and were extremely friendly. We had to make a second stop to pick up an extra piece of furniture and they didn't blink an eye. FYI - this second piece of furniture was a 6-piece sectional.Again, I highly recommend Peterson Moving, and unless I have a bad future experience, I wouldn't use anyone else!

I've used them a couple times before and those experiences were okay.  This time, I had a few issues which make me not want to use them again.  If anyone plans to use them, heed these warnings:1)  I called twice for quotes, and the second time, the long distance fee was $50 cheaper than the first time, so I recommend negotiating that.2)  They never mentioned a material fee for the plastic wrap until it was time to collect and the number was suddenly padded to the total.  Make sure to ask ahead about that.3)  They drive a truck big enough that they can't take certain routes like Lake Shore Drive.  If you can't map a good route, get ready to lose a lot of time to the drive.4)  I was told there would be a 3 man team, but only 2 people showed up.  If I had to pick them again, I would make sure to negotiate a discount for each person that doesn't show up.On the bright side of things, their moving pace was okay for 2 people, and so far, with the unpacking I've done, my belongings appear undamaged.

Make sure these guys are not left wandering the house.We were missing our Prada sunglasses as soon as they left.  My wife wore them into the house and left it right by the counter. They also ASKED for MORE tip.  $15 each wasn't enough????  After buying all three guys lunch?!

I have used Peterson 3 times in the past and have always been quite pleased with the service.  This last move was NOT GOOD.  First the movers showed up at the wrong house.  Then it took them over 9 hours (and $1,070) to move us 1/2 a mile.  They were careless with our things, broke a few things and didn't bring it to our attention, rather they just tossed the items in the trash.  They also dented our nice wood furniture, took the paint off our front steps and took smoke breaks (which would be fine if they were more efficient - but I was paying the guys by the hour.)

Technically, i would not give any stars at this point. We hired this company for an office/warehouse move a couple of weekends ago. The move had been planned for almost a month beforehand. They were supposed to bring 10 guys and 2 40' trucks to move a warehouse full of goods, as well as a small office area.First of all, they were supposed to arrive at 7am - we did not see them until close to 10am. Employees who were asked to come in to help with the move all came in within the first 1/2 hour we were supposed to start... but ended up waiting for them to show up. They ended up bringing maybe about 7 or 8 guys and 1 40' truck (instead of 2) and showed up with a small box truck. They got to work with plenty of goofing off when the guy, felipe (sp?), who seemed to manage the crew, was not around. The move essentially went on until 10:30pm. They also ended up having to come back the next morning to finish the job.In the end, after organizing the warehouse and doing a full inventory count... we are now 30 cartons short. I will not trust them for another move again. Not only were they late, they were inefficient and obviously unreliable. Totally disappointed. We will see now how they handle our missing goods situation.
