These guys were great! The moving company I was supposed to work with cancelled on me the day of, so I frantically called Perkins. They fit me in at the last minute, which was awesome, and were super professional during the whole process (including moving all my stuff to a third floor walkup). My only slight issue with them was the cost--they have a three hour minimum. I had to use three guys because they were fitting me in after another job. So it turned out to be $300, which is a little aggravating considering I only had one piece of furniture (ofc that wasn't all I was moving, though). But, price aside, I really appreciated them coming through at the last minute.

I would love to give Perkins five stars, I want to but I can't.  I've never hired movers before but this was a 1800 mile relocation.  The price was exceptional compared to other movers.  The cost decreased as more clients booked.  Nobody moves an empty truck across the country.  Thus, it took a couple of weeks for my things to arrive.The operation is professional, well executed, friendly and great service.  They label, tag, and inventory every piece of property.  Or they are supposed to.My mistake was not watching them tag all of my property.  And so when a flat screen HDTV came up missing, I couldn't prove that it existed.  It was not on the inventory sheet, not on the truck, and of course not in the former residence.Somehow someone noticed that the tv wasn't tagged and inventoried and seized the opportunity to help themself to a free television.And because of the several stops/moves along the way, it could be ANYWHERE!Thieves ruined it for me.

#1 in front of me they broke vintage mirrors- then said oh they were broken already.. broke vintage 6 ft x 6ft mirrors that lasted since the 1920s before my EYES and said they were broken already. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Strong armed me, intimidated me, said "if you don't sign that i get $2400 I keep your stuff" My stuff got moved 1/2 way into the truck & when I was skeptical about signing anything- he said to put my stuff back. Then he asked for $50 cash for boxes from Public Storage & I saw he dumpster dove the boxes 5 minutes after I gave him $50 cash & was like what are you complaining about?? Like it was a pimp talking to a hooker. I felt totally powerless while he humiliated me in front of his staff of movers who threw my stuff in garbage bags to throw away- then when I went to look in the garbage bag the young man held my hand back as he was spitting in it & didn't want me to get a handful of spit. GROSS.

Stanley Perkins is the absolute best. I've used Perkins Moving on three separate occasions; two long distance and one in town and each experience was easy peasy with all my stuff intact. Sticker counts, real price estimates that don't change during the move, straight up business.

I have used this wonderful company 4 times and they are the most professional and ON TIME company that I have ever used!!! The whole staff is very professional yet personable and makes you feel like family.  They also helped me alot with my last big move and was even EARLY getting to my destination.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! The best service for your money and if and when I move again they WILL be called again.
