No Accountability* 3 moving companies were involved: 1 to move to a warehouse, 1 to move to a truck, 1 to move to the new place* Question: "What happened to my bookshelf?" Answer: "I don't know. One of the other guys didn't pack it right."* One mover to another: "Dude, why do you care? We're never going to see these people again anyway."Damaged Furniture* Bookshelf destroyed* Dresser scratched* Computer desk broken* Fragile boxes crushed* A claim was sent at the end of July, I'm still waiting...Moving Cost was Double the Estimate* The moving cost kept going up: from pick up to drop off* An actual tape measure was used to calculate distance from truck to apartment (and they rounded up)* They refused to move my stuff in until they received the price difference--my possessions were held hostage"You guys have too many boxes."* An actual quote: my wife & I were made to feel embarrassed by how much stuff we had them move* This fact was brought up multiple times as they repeatedly stacked 5-6 boxes on boxes labeled FRAGILE

I felt I should update it after I finally got my belongings. (Note: my mirror was broken and they brought up multiple items that weren't mine. Thankfully i noticed or someone would be missing lots of stuff). Well first off, it took them 2 weeks longer than the promised date. And i only think it two weeks and not longer because I wrote my previous review. Once they saw my review, they really started to speed things up and checked in on me constantly. They even offered me $100 to take down or edit my review!!!! So I would just like to let people know that despite all these crappy reviews, I am positive there were even more of them and they were just bribed to be taken down. There's plenty of moving companies out there, use a reliable one.

THESE PEOPLE SUCK!!!!!! NEVER EVER EVER USE THEM!!! I only gave them one star because I didn't have a choice. I used this company recently on a move. First of all during the pick up, the movers were late and extremely unprofessional. The company gave me one price over the phone, and when the movers got to my apartment the main moving guy "pretended" to be on the phone with his boss and claimed I had more stuff than they had anticipated and proceeded to try and charge me another $400 dollars on top of the price I was originally given. When I asked to speak to his boss he changed his story and said he would move my stuff for $200 extra. Additionally, the two other movers who accompanied him kept saying extremely inappropriate things about me in Spanish (asking if I had a boyfriend, telling me it would be a shame if I was single, making comments about my appearance) the entire time they were in my apartment all-unaware of the fact that I understood every word.  As if that wasn't bad enough, the moving company took A MONTH to deliver my stuff because they said there was a "glitch in the system" and they wrote the delivery date down wrong. Every time I called the company to ask where my things were they refused to tell me where it was and when it would be there by. Finally when my things were on their way, I called the moving company again to get the number of the moving guy who was supposed to deliver my boxes in case I needed to reach him. Of course the company made up some story about how they can't give the movers number out and refused to give it to me. Later that day some guy who I assumed to be the mover called me and "guaranteed" me that my things would be delivered between 9 a.m and 1 p.m the next day. After canceling all my plans that weekend my parents and I proceeded to wait for the delivery guy. 1:00 p.m rolls around and there are still no signs of him anywhere.  I called the number he called me from the previous day asking where he was and he says, "oh no one from the company called you? We had a delay last night and won't be at your place until 5-7 p.m". AT 8 P.M (7 hours after the original time I was given) he finally arrived and when he got there he threw a fit about how he could not get the truck inside the complex because he thought it wouldn't go through. Even after assuring him that I talked to my property manager and was told he could enter and exit a specific way, he refused. My dad then suggested he park his truck outside the low side of the fence and we could use MY car to drive the boxes into the property. The guy agreed and then says "I'm going to have to charge you extra for that". I told him absolutely NOT and he was not going to get one more penny from us. He then told me that if I didn't give him the extra money he would hold my stuff hostage and drive his truck away. We gave in and I drove MY OWN car back and forth between his moving van and my apartment with my stuff inside. When I tried to take pictures of the way my stuff was being delivered he started getting aggressive with me saying he would not deliver my stuff if I took any pictures. During all of this, the mover ALSO decides be inappropriate telling me to smile and asking me how old I am-asking my parents if I live by myself and how often I'm alone in my apartment. After 2 hours of moving my stuff back and forth I started to feel extremely unsafe around this man. Any time I would refuse to take orders from him (like him trying to get me to sign the delivery papers before all my stuff was delivered) he would become extremely aggressive and cuss at me telling me I had an attitude problem. There were multiple times during the night I was so close to calling the police because I thought I would be physically harmed. After all my boxes were in my apartment at 10:30 P.M I signed the papers and the movers left. Later that night when I was going through my stuff making sure everything was there, I noticed that more than half my boxes had been destroyed and ripped apart. I also discovered the movers had given me FIVE boxes that didn't even belong to me. Someone else's stuff was just sitting my apartment. I called the movers again and told them what had happened and they didn't care at all saying oh well we might come by sometime tomorrow to pick it up. The boxes sat in my apartment for over a week before someone from the company picked them up. Can you imagine if your stuff ended up at some random persons house? What if they weren't nice and decided to keep it all? This moving company has SUCH neglect for people's personal items it's absurd. After all the additional charges the move ended up being so ridiculously expensive and they didn't give me one cent back even after all the misery they put me through. Moral of this story NEVER use this company they are the WORST and their movers are thugs and liars and they will make you feel unsafe in your own home.***UPDATE*** Customer serv. refunded the amount I was overcharged.

When the movers picked my stuff up they closed the door on my cat TWICE. She crawled up under the couch and I had to spend 30 min trying to get her. Then one of the movers proceeded to tell me about a time that a cat got caught in the couch and they didn't realize it and they had wrapped it up and moved it and when they delivered the couch the cat was "mummified." Why would I want to hear about that? When calculating the total cost on pick up he calculated it wrong TWICE. And when my stuff showed up my cat tree and my desk were broken.

My move through All Around Van Lines was subcontracted to Olympia. The pick up experience was excellent in Chicago. Three man crew who worked fast and I thought handled everything well. The delivery to Texas... a whole much different story. I was not given 24 hour notice of the delivery, as promised. Once I was finally able to coordinate with the driver, he pulled the truck in and started unloading. I was told 2 local subcontracted movers would come help him unload. The subcontractors never showed up! I had to help the one guy unload and assemble my furniture. This is not the deal I paid for! I will say, the one guy who was there was excellent.  I felt sorry he had to do so much solo. The icing on the cake- my plasma TV was broken (not repairable panel damage), along with damage to a bookshelf and a frame. Oh, and a lost box of kitchen supplies. And how do I make a claim for this damage? Oh, that process is also contracted out to a third party vendor. This will be fun!
