New Town Movers

I just requested another move with New Town and realized I never reviewed them! We were originally supposed to move in the middle of July and at the last minute our closing was pushed back to the last weekend of the busiest time of year for moves in Chicago. Our original movers were already booked for the new weekend, so I'm trying to find a decent moving company on a week's notice that has availability. Nightmare. As luck would have it, New Town had availability - they didn't have a lot of reviews but the ones they had were great and I was in no position to be picky. Fortunately they weren't just decent movers, they were SUPER movers! So nice, so efficient, and it wasn't an easy move as they had to load the truck at two different elevator apartments under a tight time frame and then moved it into a 2-3 floor walk-up, in the July heat. They did a brilliant job in great time, nothing damaged, and were very accommodating - one of the movers in particular, when it seemed bleak that my cabinet had any chance of making it's way up the stairwell, used some sort of jiu jitsu magic moving skills and managed to squeeze it up there. I've moved more than six times in Chicago and these guys are now my go to. Thanks New Town Movers!

Lalo, Andres, and Javier, all I can say is thank you so much! I have moved countless times in my life, and never have experienced such an amazing company. These are the most efficient, fast, and hardworking men I have ever worked with. Not only do they treat your items with care, but they also are straight forward with what you are paying ahead of time so there is no confusion. The price with them was at least 200 dollars cheaper then any other moving company. I will be using new town for all of my future moves. Thank you! 6 stars if I could.

These guys are absolutely terrific. Lalo and his team are courteous, professional, and fast. We moved my fiance out of her parents house in Glenview, drove to my apartment in Lincoln Park to clear that out, and then drove to our new apartment in Logan Square - a 3 story walkup - to unpack everything. Another plus is they wrap everything with material they bring so not to scratch or damage any valuables, beds, couches, etc. Lalo and his team are unbelievable movers and hard workers and I would recommend them to anybody who asks. I will absolutely use them for any future move of mine. This is the second time we've used New Town Movers and the second time we have been ecstatic with the move. Keep up the great work guys!

I've used New Town Movers for two moves now and refuse to use anyone else. They go beyond just the basics of what you need/expect. At one point they were literally running around my couch, wrapping it in seran! They are speedy, careful with all the items, professional, and very friendly -- and cheap! I had an old, junky table that got a small scratch on it, potentially from the move, and they were quick to point it out to me, to make sure I was aware. Very honest. Highly recommend.

Fantastic movers.  My parents just moved between two suburbs of Chicago.  Given that I live across the country and they are in their eighties, I was very concerned about finding the right moving company.  New Town Movers was it.  During a visit, I met with Lalo and appreciated his professionalism and customer orientation.  His team came, packed everything, moved everything with care and then returned and unpacked the entire house.  It could not have gone better and my parents are thrilled with the move.  New Town Movers turned a move that easily could have been stressful into a pleasant experience.  I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
