Remember that great feeling you get from anticipating the day of your big move?Oh, right.But if you want to at least get closer to an absolutely smooth move day without breaking your own back, H&M Movers will do that for you.So when my wife and I were looking to move out of our 3-bedroom apartment, we did some searching and everywhere came up with hourly rates (H&M Movers provide a flat fee).  Hourly rates = if they end up sitting in traffic, you're getting charged.  Flat fee = peace of mind.In contacting H&M Movers, I was in constant communication with Jessica.  Not only was she pleasant and helpful, but she was also completely flexible in terms of making sure times and materials were matched with our needs.  Everything was also discussed up front, and there were no hidden fees.The day of the move = wonderful.  Jessica came with the truck and two awesome guys.  The were able to "tetris" our boxes and furniture into the vehicle like they were born to do this.  And MOST IMPORTANTLY, my wife and I miscalculated the amount of boxes we had when Jessica gave us the original estimate.  As a result, H&M Movers had to make 2 trips to move us out, but they did not complain at all.  So, we gave them extra to compensate for their gas money and time.If we ever move again, we're definitely contacting H&M Movers.  Our hope is that they don't run for the hills, considering we couldn't seem to count our boxes correctly last time.

My husband and I just finished our move with H&H movers from Lincoln Square in Chicago to Mt Prospect. We moved from a two bedroom condo to a house. They had four guys show up (Andrew the team lead, Ruslan, Dima, and Roma) and they know what they're doing! They had the entire move completed in 5.5 hours. They were extremely professional, handled everything with great care, wrapped all the furniture, and were so fast. They beat their own time estimate by an hour and a half. Andrew went thru everything with us before the move started so we knew what to expect. The guys were very fun, polite, and nice. I would recommend H&H to anyone doing any time of move in the Chicagoland area!

Maybe their service is great for those that do not have last minute moves. They over committed and took our move last minute, which ended up taking 8 hours from 6:30p-2:30am (they were an hour late to arrive) to move a one bedroom apartment. Destroyed our temprapedic bed (had to go in the dump) and did not pay (nor willing to pay) for the damages. Scratches on all furniture, and half the time they were grunting because they couldn't lift the furniture, WTF?!They did not give any discount for the absurd amount of time they took and the overall inconvenience of the whole event. We ended up having to move the boxes ourselves. I regret paying them... Should have just waved goodbye once it was finally over. The guys were nice but seriously did not know what they were doing professionally. Sending your husband to do a job because your regular work guys are booked is not the way to do business. If you have two hand trucks with you, please use them! I would not recommend this company. Spend the extra money and get professionals.

It's very difficult to find movers who will work with one or two items without charging outrageous fees.  They were flexible with out making me feel like I was wasting their time for such few items. Also. Bonus for being a family company Great job guys.

I booked H&M two days in advance with no hassle. From the woman on the phone to the guys who came out--nice and accommodating. The whole experience was personalized and friendly. When I realized I lost the key to my storage pod, they went out of their way to try to open the lock. I had stuff that needed to be moved from a pod out in the street to a third floor apartment and to a garage. They moved it all with no complaint. Next time I move, I'll be calling these guys again.
