History

Established in 2009. Concierge Moving Services, Inc. is the one stop for all your relocation needs. At Concierge we found that there were no companies that offered any or all of the services that we provide. In today's fast paced work and living environments, it is very difficult to organize a complete move from start to finish. This includes locating all your packing supplies, packing your belongings, the actual move to your new residence, and all the other things you typically don't want to have to think about.

We were incredibly disappointed with our second move with Concierge Moving Services.  The facts: We were repeat customers who were quoted the following for moving 1 sideboard: (1) $65 for 2 hours (minimum amount of time for which they will contract for a move) + materials charges of $35 + travel fee and (2) that the movers would arrive between 1-3 pm on Sunday.  What happened: Sunday afternoon, 3 pm.  No movers.  3:30 pm.  Still no movers.  4 pm.  Uh, yeah, still no movers.  During this time period, we call the movers on 3 separate occasions, in which each time we are told that they are going to be "right there."  I don't know about you, but if I am told that movers are going to show up between 1-3 pm and at 4:20 pm, no one has arrived to move, well, that's a bit of a problem.  Especially when you have reserved space in moving elevators and are trying to keep on a schedule.  Ultimately, at 4:35, 2 movers show up to move the sideboard, use 1 blue reusable moving cloth to cover the sideboard (for which I do thank you, movers), use a little bit of packing tape, and move the sideboard to its new residence which is within a one mile radius of the new residence.  The total time spent moving - about 40 minutes.  Cost - $162.50 and that's the moving company saying that they were cutting us a "deal" by not charging us for the packing materials (yup, that tape, it costs $35).   Because of their tardiness, we ended up having to pay a fine at the new residence for using the moving elevator after 5 pm on Sunday.  We were not compensated by Concierge Moving Services for the fine.  I will leave it up to you to decide whether you think that a $35 "discount" for the cost of tape and a reusable packing cloth is compensation for (1) 90 minutes ot your time sitting around waiting for late movers on an otherwise gorgeous summer Sunday afternoon and (2) paying for a fine because the movers think that even though they quote you an arrival between 1-3 pm, that's just (and I quote) an "estimation" and there's nothing they can do if an earlier move pushes the estimated moving time later.  Methinks that you will agree that moving is stressful as it is and not to use a company that thinks that being 90 minutes late is (again, direct quote) "only a bit late." Caveat emptor.

I have used another moving company for my last three moves but found out that they recently merged with another company to become Concierge.  Since I had good service with the old moving company, I figured I would get the same level of service for my most recent move.My move was scheduled for 1pm.  Around 10am, they called and asked if they could move up the time due to a delay with their first move of the day.  I agreed.  Things started off well.  The two movers started wrapping and packing up the moving truck.  At one point, one of the movers slipped and hurt his arm pretty bad.  Things started slowing down at that point.  They finished packing up the truck and we drove to the new residence.  After moving all of the smaller items, they stopped completely and waited for another mover to relieve the mover that had hurt himself.  Once he arrived, the pace picked up and they finished in a total of 5 hours.  Realistically the move would have been done in 4 hours (or under) with two able-bodied movers.  I asked them to consider charging me for 4 hours.  The new guy called his supervisor and said they could charge me for 4 hours and 15 minutes.  I was a bit frustrated at this point as I had let a few things slide (a floor lamp and mirror were broken during the move and a cabinet was damaged).  They eventually agreed to 4 hours.  Once the movers left, I realized that one of them had left his glasses and they had taken two of my tools (by accident, I'm sure).  And when I went to make my bed and moved it from the wall, the support bar under the bed fell over (as it was not secured properly).I called the office the next day to let them know about the glasses and indicated that I wanted my tools back and requested that someone come out and properly secure the support bar for the bed.  I was told they would look into it and follow up.  Two weeks later (after several follow up phone calls), I am still waiting for resolution.

Seriously AMAZING GUYS. I don't know what I would have done without their moving services. I was blown off by the unprofessional, whiny fairy princess teenagers that they have working for Two Men and a Truck not one but two days in a row after taking off work and I was left screwed at the last minute before I had to be out of my apartment. Their reason: the prissy babies didn't want to work too late into the night (only time im available because of my schedule) and they didn't want to touch anything with pet hair. So I dropped those losers and I called concierge! They were so accommodating and got me in the very next day...A SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT THE END OF THE MONTH! I'm eternally grateful for them accomodating me at the very last minute. They were able to get me completely moved out of my 2 br garden apartment with really tricky entrances and into my new 2 br garden apartment with equally difficult entryway! They finished in less than 5 hours,  a move that was previously estimated as 8 hours! Pet friendly,  sweet and efficient crew of Bobby, Jason and Parnell! Request these guys if you can and treat them well, they will work hard to make you happy! If I didn't work for a non profit making minimum wages I would tip them EACH $100. The rates are much cheaper than comparable companies and I will continue to recommend them to anyone who I know in need of help!***The whole crew was sweet, not at all stuck up or prissy llike the guys I experienced at 2 men and a truck.  Bobby was so kind and after telling him that I work in animal rescue and have many adopted kitties he offered to give me a cat tree, food and litter that he never ended up using. Now THAT'S KINDNESS! My cats and I thank you again!

I used Concierge Moving Services this past weekend for a local move. I had previously used Bill's Movers for a past move, and Bill merged with Concierge since my last move, so I figured I'd give them a call.I was very pleased with their services. Communication was great, both from Bill, Barbara and Paul in the office to Mike, my head mover. They checked in several times to make sure everything was set. Their estimate was very reasonable, they didn't ding me on extra supplies and extras. The guys were a few minutes late, but called ahead of time to let me know, and made up the time on the back end. My movers worked quickly and were very efficient. Even the total time came in close to the estimate, 30 minutes more, but I probably under estimated my amount of stuff. The one small snafu was that a small rug did not make it off the truck, but once I realized it and called them, they personally redelivered it to my new address the next day.All and all I'd give them 5 stars, especially when considering price. If you are looking for a very reasonably priced, efficient local move, with good communication and hard working staff, these are the guys. Don't hesitate to give them a call.

Arranging a move with this team is painful.  Stay away!   Some reviews mention Bill's moving company - Bill's moving company merged with concierge because it was unlicensed and the state moving board cracked down on it. That unlicensed (poor) level of service is exactly what you'll get with concierge.  Don't make my mistake.  Don't believe me?  Call the state moving company regulators.  They'll tell you that this company has an extremely higher than average number of incidents.
