A&r Moving

This review is long overdue but Mark and his crew moved two apartments into a third floor walkup in record time and with plenty of care. He was courteous, prompt and on-time. And he worked harder than anyone else on  his crew. I've moved a lot over the years and would have to say our move with Mark was among the best experiences I've had!

A and R moving is the best I called them a day before I need their service and he accepted. They were on time and the handled my valuables like it was their own its the first time I've actually used a moving company and they were a great first experience. Mark gave me a good deal and a great service thanks to A and R moving for making my move a success.

I would recommend these guys. Based on the positive reviews on Yelp, I called and scheduled A & R to move me from my 3rd floor condo into a single family home. It was difficult to move some of the furniture based on the set-up of my old place, but they were patient, persistent, and were able to disassemble (and reassemble) things when necessary. I felt the service was priced fairly (as mentioned before they do not nickel-and-dime you), the crew was positive and easy to deal with, and I would not hesitate to hire them again in the future.

I would use A&R Movers again in a heart beat! It was the most cheerful team of movers that I've ever encountered! What's more, they showed up on time, have fair rates and were even willing to dispose of furniture I no longer wanted.  A load has been lifted!

AWFUL. I was scheduled for a 2pm move with packing services. I confirmed multiple times and was told we were all set. 2pm came and went-I called and was told that they'd be there by 3. Annoying, but not a huge deal. 3pm came and went. I called again. Was told they were "on their way" no time frame provided. Mark then asked me to confirm if I was in Chicago or a suburb. Obviously they weren't on there way since they didn't even remember the address. He said they'd be there soon. Around 4 they still weren't there. I called again and was told they were "two blocks away but there's traffic". 4:30 still not there. They eventually pulled up at 4:45-almost 3 hours late in this sketchy unmarked truck. There were 3 guys instead of the 4 I was promised. They then told me they had shrink wrap and only shrink wrap for packing supplies. They "ran out" of boxes. They then asked if there was a store somewhere they could buy some. At that point I told them to leave. Mark asked if they should come back tomorrow. Absolutely not. Worst moving experience ever. I would give negative stars if it was possible.
