I wish I could give this company a zero stars!!! I was relocated for work from San Francisco to New York this summer. Unfortunately my company picked Suddath as a moving company and I got stuck in this situation. First- they were over 6 hours late to my pickup time in San Francisco. You can imagine how panicked I was as I had a flight leaving the next morning. They finally rolled in at 4:00pm after it was scheduled for an early morning pack and load. The packing itself was extremely rushed. The movers were courteous and worked hard but they also almost left leaving an entire room unpacked (bathroom). Fortunately I caught this before they left the apartment. Scheduling a dropoff for my items in New York was very difficult. I gave over 3 weeks notice for when i'd like my items dropped off (after they had already been in transit for +1 month)- they quoted me getting my stuff 2 weeks later. I complained saying I already hadn't had a bed/furniture etc for 7 weeks- I couldn't wait longer. They were able to push the drop off a week earlier. They wrapped each item in so much paper it filled my entire living room. It took over 2 weeks to come pick up all the excess paper/boxes. They lost at least one box and damaged three furniture items. They have been unresponsive and extremely irresponsible. I filed a claim over a month ago and have yet to hear back on if they have found my boxes/will replace broken items. Unfortunately the boxes lost were brand new kitchen items- so I've been eating off of  paper plates etc for the last month.Still no response back on the claim...I would stay far far far away from this moving company.

United Van Lines contracted Suddath. My move from San Francisco to Chicago was quoted to take 6-9 days. I flew to Chicago 6 days later expecting to hear from mover who promised to call me 24 hours before exact date. On the 7th day. I called them and they said my belongings still had not even left their San Francisco warehouse! Long story short, my belongings were not delivered until 19 days after they were picked up instead of the 6-9 promised. That meant 10 extra days of hotels, wearing limited clothes, and eating out. When delivery finally arrived a few items were damaged or broken.

The entire moving team, from Steve Radunich sign-on to the guys on deck on move day, to Lou Salvo and team on watch from the office, all worked in perfect sync to make a stressful day hum smoothly start to finish.  They did great work and had me all tucked in with efficiency and care, right on schedule.  Great experience all around.

We moved our home a few miles and had such a positive experience using Suddath. The movers were quick and careful with our breakables, our estimator was Steve and he was very professional and nice and our co-ordinator Emily called us before the move, during the move, and after the move to make sure everything went smoothly. We had a small hiccup with the baby crib assembly, but the movers found the right hardware and got everything setup for us to be settled in the same day we moved, including the crib. Great customer service, great experience with the whole team.

Suddath moved us from San Jose to San Diego in Sept 2015, and everything went very smoothly. This move was coordinated by a 3rd party corporate moving company, and Suddath was the mover.We had packing services, and they came to our house right at the start of the window given -- I believe it was 8:00am - 9:00am.  I think it helps to be the first person serviced that day, for timeliness -- since it's hard for them to get precise on how long it will take them for a job.They packed everything neatly and carefully. They used a ton of packing paper, so we ended up with a bajillion boxes -- despite getting rid of half our stuff before the move!The supervisor that was there for packing day was great - I believe his name was Jimmy. He helped me cut down some cardboard boxes that had been sitting in my garage for months.For the moving and load day, they came on time and everyone was quick and efficient.For unload, it was another team and they also worked very hard and were very respectful. At the end of the move, I thought that they had lost one box filled with pillows and a comforter.  However, I came to find that those items were unpacked (we had unpackers) into this closet that I didn't ever access.  Overall, it was a job well-done.
