There are no better, more professional, harder-working, nicer movers in the entire Bay Area.I will never call anyone else. These guys are top-notch.

I hired these guys in January 2015 to do a small move from a U-Box to my home. I initially hesitated to write a review out of fear for retaliation (read on and understand why). When I called, I asked if they were licensed and insured. I was told "yes" and proceeded to give details of the job. Moving day was a nightmare. They broke a piece of my bed frame (the most expensive piece of furniture I owned). I called the owner about the damage and was told that this was NOT an "insured job" (and that I should have known a small job was not going be insured) and that this was not "his problem". He further advised that I should take the cost of repair out of the movers' pay. I didn't see that as fair and I definitely wasn't comfortable confronting 2 big-ass movers and telling them that I was deducting my loss directly from their paycheck. I offered to pay them and be done and then was told that they could not accept checks. Really?I remember every bit of this day because it was such a terrible experience and this is where is got really bizarre.New to the area, I had them follow me as we searched for an ATM.  I finally just drove to the nearest branch of my bank. As I pulled into the bank parking lot, a man stood in front of the last parking spot. Unbeknownst to me, the other owner was waiting for me at the bank. He proceeded to yell and make a scene telling me that he would take my bed and have it fixed but that I had better "show some class and tip these guys well". He made such a scene that the bank security guard contacted LGPD. As PD drove by, the irate owner stopped his yelling and I went inside of the bank. The guys who did the move later told me that they were NOT employees of South Valley Movers. Apparently Ken had contacted them and offered a "side-job" to "help me out" with my small move......except that I thought I was hiring a reputable company and not just 2 guys off the street. One of them was clearly not an experienced mover and he admitted that he could not drive the moving van because he had "just gotten a DUI". In the end, I decided to take the high road and cut my losses. I paid them w a bank check and walked away. My bed is still missing a piece of the footboard but I was not about to deal w this maniac of an owner for one second longer. I would not recommend this company. I actually recommend that you read some of the other 1-star reviews because Ken's behavior and attitude rings true. Find another moving company.

Had surgery and unable to prepare for furniture moving within the house for a remodel :-(. Called locally recommended movers that were willing to service Santa Cruz mountain area at a reasonable price, but these guys were the only ones who were able to come through in a timely (less than a week) manner.Everything went to hell on my side, as I was not as prepared as I normally would have been and the project was not at all an easy one, with very heavy targets and stairs involved in every piece moved. But Cord and Mike completely took it in stride and were helpful, respectful, and patient throughout the project. Even put a behemoth TV in my car to take to ewaste.These guys are professional and completely know what they are doing. I was completely comfortable in working with these two gentlemen and with them being in my home. They were respectful and careful with everything in my home--not one single ding or mark anywhere. They even had to remove a door and unscrew a bookcase from a wall. Completed the job under estimated time.Thanks so much for all of your help!!

I have been working with South Valley Movers both personally as well as professionally for the last 10 years.They are the best I have seen in the business. Super punctual and very respectful of your property. I have been a real estate broker for 10 years and have always received great feedback from my clients. I have personally used them to move me 3 times as well as other small moves from storage facilities. They are very accommodating.Remember, they are the moving professionals so they have a lot of great ideas when it comes to making a move more efficient. They definitely don't try to drag out the time clock to increase hours.  If something does go wrong, they don't try to pin the blame somewhere else, but work with you to create a solution. Super cool guys overall.
