Rapid Moving Company

First, I would like to say that I think many of the positive reviews online are fake and written by the company. I posted a review to a site that had no previous reviews for the company and suddenly a positive review posted immediately after mine and many of the Facebook reviews came from fake profiles. The company is now in Culver City, CA.

Hired them to move me 15 minutes away. The scheduled time was between 8am and 10am. I got up at 6:30am to be ready along with my boys. It was an easy move, furniture only, since I took everything to the other apartment ahead of time.

Ten o'clock AM came and no movers. I called the company at 11am and was able to reach someone after 30 minutes of trying. The lady said she was reaching out to dispatch. OK...I had emailed my rep and he was out of the office, but also reached out to dispatch. There was a delay, but I was not informed what that delay was or how long it will be. OK...11:40am...No movers...Called again. She said dispatch will call me in 20 minutes. No call from dispatch... I called back and she reached out to dispatch again. She said that she handles long distance moves and will reach out to the local dispatch again. I requested his number, but she said she was not able to provide me with his cell number. She would call me in a few minutes...No call.

I went to rent a truck, along with a friend, and as I pulled up to U-Haul, the dispatcher called. It's 1:30pm! He apologized and said he forgot to call me, when I told him that he's 3 1/2 hrs late. I asked how could he forgot about his customer, he then says he didn't and something was wrong with the truck and they were using 3rd parties and he wanted to make sure he had someone setup before he called. I told him that it would have been courteous to call and inform the customer what's going on instead of leaving them hanging for 3 1/2 hours without knowing what was going on. He said that he could have someone there in an hour. I passed and got my U-Haul and three people to help me.

Find another company because this company is highly unprofessional!

I used Rapid. The whole process was easy. They called to confirm the date of export.The delivery process was just as smooth. They even put blankets to protect your floors, which was great. The price was more reasonable compared to other quotes that I received and the actual cost was more because of the extra items that mom forgot to include in the original estimate.I highly recommend them and definitely use them again in the future. Just don't use this garbage company. They don't respect you, your property, or your time. Go with a reputable company, the cost will be about the same in the end anyways, and your move will be smoother. I posted a 1-star review one day after our move and only meant to share my experience. In short, their truck broke down, took over 15 hours to move 10 miles, the manager Rasheed repeatedly tried to low-ball me with 10% discounts, and numerous items were broken, stolen, or lost. Rasheed discovered my review and called me (weeks after move) offering $30 more than What I was guaranteed via my claim. And his offer was in exchange for deleting the review. When I laughed and said no..he offered $250 (I was owed $115). Again, I laughed. Then he reluctantly offered a few more low discounts. When I insisted I receive a full refund considering the ridiculously poor experience I was going through with this company, he took about two more days to begrudgingly refund me. Another month later, and I'm still discovering lost items... and so my review is back. The following items were broken/lost/never delivered or accounted for:-Beats headphones ($300)-bag full of nice jackets/coats (approx $400)-box full of ties (including my wedding tie and sentimental items, approx $300)-an entire bookcase somehow ($120)-large framed poster ($50)-probably other stuff I haven't even realized yet

Fast and good service. Andrew and Mike did a speedy and awesome job in moving all the furniture of my one bedroom apartment. They did arrived a little bit latter than scheduled but it gave us time to finish packing a few stuff. Total move time: 3 hrs including 1 hr of transportation. They covered everything with blankets and treated with extreme care items we pointed out. Really happy with their service.

Very well done job . They picked, packed and delivered the furniture as promised, and at the exact time promised . Everything was as it was agreed in advance . The owner listened to what I needed to do and she took me through what her company and what she felt would best suit my needs and would be the least expensive and the movers were they ever a great price, and thank you for a wonderful couple of workers, who made the delivery, you fellows for a job well done, and thank you for taking care of my furniture like it was yours . Now I know what Moving Company in San Jose I call first.
