Very nice service. I always use them whenever I am shifting my apartment because of price increase.Reasonable price ranges for the trucks they rent

So far very disappointed! We have a 2 day move and stressed to begin with. We reserved a truck for 7am at 7:30am we received a call from Jose stating they were transferring a truck to the Alum Rock location. As I am writing this review at 8:10 the truck is still not here. We asked if we could do the paper work while we waited. We were told they would do it when the truck gets here. We picked Penske because of all of the great reviews guess we should have looked at the reviews for Alum Rock Self Storage Also. We have paid movers scheduled for 9am. Truck finally showed up at 9:45. This wasted 45 minutes of our paid movers time while they set waiting for us to arrive costing us extra. Do not use this location. They do not know what customer service is or how to provide it.On another note Penske corporate handled the situation the best they could. If we need to rent a truck again we will use Penske direct. At least we learned that much.

Made reservations online. Showed up 10 min past opening (7am on Saturday) was greeted promptly by Connie. The place is clean and tidy, got the truck with $20 insurance. "Smart man" she said. "Bring back just the steering wheel and your fine" she added. I stepped outside and left for Hollister. 9 hours later I return with a full tank and more than just the steering wheel. Signed papers and left. Overall a pleasant experience. I didn't see nothing wrong with the place. Nothing over the top either. Just what I needed. The truck was in great shape, everything worked fine, even the AC which made the trip a huge success. I'd rent from them again if I needed too. Check them out, their hours of operation are better than the other guys. Cheaper than budget and U-hal. Do your homework.

I have been a customer and going to the Alum Rock store for more than 6 years.  I have a commercial account with them.I have never encountered a Manager that is as rude, violent, and Ignorant as Jazmin!!!  I have rented trucks from them for my business and while I understand that prices change, Jazmin was trying to get me pay for an extra day, just because.  When I disputed She not only had the worse attitude she also started yelling at me!!!  I asked her to change her tone and she told me to go elsewhere if I didn't like it and that she didnt care if they lost my business.  I told her that I would complain to Connie to what she replied " I dont give a f$%#" to go cry to whoever I wanted to that nothing would happen to her.  She proceeded to hang up on me in-spite of the fact that I asked her not to and that I needed her help.  She replied " you shouldn't off pissed me off" and hanged up on me.I called back, because I needed a truck, and I got Alex.  I started giving Alex my information and spelling the name of my business and I overheard her telling Alex to hang up on me and not to help me.  Alex seemed very nervous and just told me that the computer wold not let him schedule a truck for me that I needed to go elsewhere to rent one.  I asked Alex why would the computer not allow you and after asking that several times he stated it was Jazmin who didnt want him to help me.I asked to speak to Jazmin again and after asking several times Alex transferred me to her.  She of course had a bigger attitude than before.  I asked her why she was so upset and why she was blocking my transaction she replied " you are lucky Im even talking to you, I dont have to put up with anything I dont feel like putting up with" I said well you were yelling at me, she replied " you are lucky I wasnt yelling believe me you would know when I yell at you" She asked me " are you gonna rent the truck or what, stop wasting my time.  I said yes and she placed me on hold for more than 20 minutes and then I was helped by Brenda.I called a different location in fear that Jazmin would be interfering with the reservation and she had, she had given me a 20 foot truck.  I had requested a 12 foot truck and the mistakes just wen on and on.DO NOT RENT FROM THE ALUM ROCK LOCATION JAZMIN is not only rude, ignorant and aggressive but will make sure to get you however she can.I will take my business to a different location but dont even rent space from these people.  They think they are immune to complains and dont care about the customer.
