Gold Rush Express delivered my 3-tier wedding cake for me on the day of my wedding. It was so important to me that it be delivered on time and that they drive carefully without any stops in between (so they cream cheese frosting didn't melt).Frank was great to work with. He was very detailed in the instructions for the courier, especially since I had special instructions for handling the cake.The cake arrived on time and in one piece! If your baker doesn't deliver, call Gold Rush Express. They deliver on time and at an affordable price.

I contacted these guys on Friday to request a price quote for courier service. I talked to Doug and the request was super simple - pick up three items, put them in a box, and mail them to me. Doug gave me a price and I agreed on it. He emailed me a confirmation with the price that we agreed to.On Tuesday, I called Gold Rush to let them know that the items are ready for pickup. I asked if Doug is there and the guy who answered said "no". I asked if he will be in today, "no". I asked if there's someone else who can help me and I was told someone will call me back. I waited an hour and nobody called back.I called again and talked to someone else. He told me that the price that Doug quoted me was wrong and the service will cost more. I said that you're being flaky and I don't like businesses that are flaky. Once you agree to the price you can't change it. I told him that Doug gave me the price. He then informed me that Doug no longer works for the company. I asked how it's possible that Doug quoted me a price if he doesn't work there, and he told me that Doug's last day was Friday. So Doug literally quoted me a price and then quit. I told him that this is REALLY REALLY flaky and they're making me very nervous. He put me on hold and came back and said he'll honor the price that Doug quoted me. I asked if they can get the items today (at this point, it's 9am). He said they're too busy and will have to do it tomorrow. I was surprised that they can't do it since a courier service is supposed to be able to deal with same-day deliveries. He said he'll have to call me back to schedule it.I called again in the afternoon and asked if they can do the pickup first thing Wednesday morning and he said that's fine and would call me back with the confirmation number. I never got a call back.I called first thing Wednesday morning and asked if they have picked up my items. The person I talked to seemed to have no record of any scheduled pickup. He looked up my name, phone number, and pickup address and couldn't find it in his computer. He said a supervisor would call me back in 20 minutes. I waited an hour and still nobody called me back. If you're keeping track, that's 4 times that they said they'd call me back and never did.It boggles the mind that a courier company could be this inept. If they can't handle something as super-simple as returning a phone call or scheduling a pickup, they don't deserve to be in business.

These guys completely just saved my butt! Fedex was given a package and shipping info to send a package to Anchorage, AK, instead they sent it to my old address in Sunnyvale, CA! Gold Rush Express was able to go to my old address pick up the package, re-tape it up and take it back to Fedex!

Outstanding Service and communication. We had a last minute deliver on a Friday afternoon to San Francisco.   There were here in 15 minutes to pick up the package around 2:30p and had it delivered before 4pm.  They also sent communication of pickup and delivery.  It doesn't get any better than this.

I used Gold Rush Express services to transport my leather sofa to the repair shop and back home.  I was pleased with the responsiveness of the staff answering the phone and via e-mail when requesting a quite and scheduling my service.  The delivery driver was attentive, friendly and careful with my furniture which arrived in fine condition.  Where they didn't meet my expectation was on timing and proactive communication with me. On both occasions they were an hour late and no one contacted me to let me know.  Fortunately, I had a flexible schedule each time so it wasn't a problem but on a typical day, this would have presented a real problem.   So, while I would recommend Gold Rush Express, if I were to use their service again, I would want assurance they could meet the requested time window.
