I looked around for different quotes and settled upon ABM. The booking agent (David) was very friendly and made arrangements for a noon arrival, estimating around 3.5 hours for an in-city move (they have a 3 hour minimum).The day before the move a scheduler called to confirm my noon-4 PM WINDOW!! I said I was promised a noon ARRIVAL and that I could not do a window since I needed to book the building elevator, get to a storage facility before it closed, and had friends lined up to help. She was abrupt and said the booking agent should not have given me an exact time as this was not how they operated. I told her if they did not arrive at that time then they would be carrying everything down 11 flights of stairs.She called me back after supposedly speaking with a supervisor and said the best they could do would be to make me the first pick up the day between 9 AM and 11 AM (how the first pick up still has a window I have no idea!)My friends arrived at 9 AM and we proceeded to sit around until the movers FINALLY showed up at 11:30 AM. There was then about 20 minutes of paperwork and forms. What is especially interesting is that they showed up in an ASAP Moving Van and wearing ASAP shirts so I'm guessing the comments about them trying to rebrand themselves to eliminate bad reviews is true!The supervisor obviously didn't want to work as he was found sitting in the van cab on a couple of occasions while the subordinate worked intently.When we got to the storage facility I had even more paperwork to complete and had to pay there and then (why take my credit card to make the reservation if the driver is going to process everything??). He tried to say it would be 1.5 hours to unpack but I got him down to 1 hour (with the agreement of the other mover). Now they were locked into a time they finally put some work into the move.I had everything boxed and wrapped and it still took FOUR HOURS for an in-town move of 6 miles and only after my friends helped by carry boxes. Thak goodness for the subordinate mover....While I can't argue about the job - they got it done after all, I would NOT use them again after ruining the day by showing up late and then trying to drag out the move beyond the 3 hour minimum.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are not only scammers who over charged me for my move ($600 for a 3.5 hour move after quoting me $79 per hour), but to add insult to injury, their movers PEED in the storage unit next to mine. Yes, there were bathrooms on site and available, but somehow they felt the need to pee in the neighboring storage unit. We know it was them because when they opened the storage unit to pee in it, an alarm went off alerting the storage unit owners of the time that it was opened, and it was shortly after I had left the movers to go speak with the facility owners. I received a call from the storage facility a few hours afterwards saying that they had checked the unit and found that the movers had peed in it.After finding out this information, I put a stop payment on the check that I made out to the movers for a tip. Thank god I paid by check. A few days later, I received a phone call on my cell phone from one of the movers, rudely demanding to know why I stopped the check. He then proceeded to swear at me after I told him that he could ask his supervisor why I stopped the check, and not to contact me again on my cell phone. I hung up almost immediately. This was completely inappropriate and out of line .The storage facility now wants to charge me a few hundred dollars in cleaning fees for their mess. I called the moving company repeatedly to report the issue and to have it resolved, and nobody returned my phone calls. This company deserves to be shut down, and all their movers fired.

Warning - you are better off going with another moving company.This company is the worst company. I relocated on Sat. 12/11 from California to Ohio with my boyfriend. It's been a disaster on getting in touch with the sales representative when we call and they are not returning our calls.ABM under quoted us on the move. The movers on Sat. told us that we had less then 1,000 pounds worth of stuff. On Sunday we received a call saying that we have 2,000 pounds.Bottom line that this is the worst company. If you have to move out of state I suggest working with another company. The worst part is that they have not contacted us back and they still have our furniture. It's been ten days since we heard from our contact at ABM. I'm starting to think they are avoiding us.I'm still waiting on a delivery date (it is now Dec. 25). The company has not returned my calls or emails. Please don't use this company for your future move.

I wish I checked them out first at yelp before actually hiring them.  This is the worst moving experience so far.  First, they gave me a 12-4pm window.  I even requested an earlier arrival and they agreed to 11am.  But come the day of the move, pass 4pm already, I called them few times and they said the movers are running late.  I didnt know that they were going to be 4 hours late!!!  They did not arrive until 7:45pm.  The movers were already tired and I dont blame them.  They worked hard but this company sucks when it comes to their management....managing the time, job and so forth.  I called to complain the next business day, and all they can tell me is, nothing they can do now.... WTH????  Stay away from this company !!!!!

After seeing the below post I agree with the reviewer. They are horrible! I used the company to move into my house. They told me the cost would be only be $1000. After they changed the price to $2000. Rip off! When I called the office about the price, the receptionist yelled at me. She was unfriendly and rude. Never use them. They are scam artists.
