U-Pack Moving

We just moved from San Diego to Chicago.  I was a little nervous about using a pod company because I had heard such negative reviews about signing on with one company and they turn it over to another and yet another.  I wanted a company that was solid.  U-Pack is all one company.From the time my pod arrived, the driver was just excellent, walked us through everything, the pod is very sturdy, steel throughout.  He also asked us what direction we wanted the doors to face.  He was courteous and professional.Weeks before the pod was to arrive, we took extra care to safeguard our possessions.  We bought a zippered case from walmart for our double bed set.  Purchased a queen set for easy on and off.  We made sure all our belongings were in plastic bins and the bins we taped so no mishaps and we used rope like a spider web to help for slippage of boxes.  There are groves for this in the pod to slip a rope through.  I then took pictures before I closed the door and a pic of the outside of pod with the pod number.I also called my house insurance company to make sure we were covered in case anything did happened.  We were covered.I called U-Pack and they came on the exact day they said they would.  We opted to have U-Pack deliver our pod to their center here in Illinois.  I wasn't sure if they would make it to Chicago before we would and it saved us $500.When I got home U-Pack had called and said my pod was ready for pick-up.  When we arrived, they were ready for us and the pod was in a secured fenced area.  It was so easy to load up, lots of room right on their huge parking area.  I might also had that everything was perfect within the pod.  They obviously drove with care.I can't say enough about U-Pack.  From start to finish, they were outstanding!!!  I would highly recommend them and I will use them again in the future.  Thank you U-Pack.  A pleasure to do business with you!!

I moved some things from San Diego to my college-aged daughter in Fort Worth.  Everyone I encountered and spoke to over the phone was helpful and easy to work with.  The trailer was dropped off early and then picked up right away when I finished packing.  The delivery in Texas went just as smoothly.  They even called to see if I'd like my things sooner.  The transit time was very quick.  The guys helped me get the ramp set up upon delivery and removed the bulk head so I didn't have to wrestle with it.  Awesome service.  They exceeded my expectations at every turn.

I recently used you U-Pack for my move from San Diego to Albuquerque. I also looked at Pods. The pricing was much less with U-Pack, the service I received over the phone was much better with U-Pack.  The people I came in contact with have all been super nice and I really appreciate the flexibility that U-Pack gave me for delivering the containers in Albuquerque. I would highly recommend this company for your move.  All of my possessions arrived in good shape and nothing was broken.  I give them five stars!

I was looking at over $6,000 to move 3,000 miles.  With UPack it was $2,318.It doesn't matter the weight ... and mine was pretty heavy.  They don't charge by that, but rather by how much space you take.  You pack your own stuff or hire a couple people to do it for you.  You let them know when you need the truck and they drop it off.  Then you have 3 days to fill it.  Close it up and call them and they'll do the rest.  They can deliver it right to your house then you'll have 3 days to unpack it.  Again just call them when you're done.It was certainly worth it for a couple friend and me to pack and unpack and save $3700.I really appreciated the 3 day window too, as I still turned up with more packing to do.  Try that with a regular moving company.I highly recommend them.  It wasn't easy to get the truck in my new place, but the guy went to the extra mile to make it work.
