Never use this company. They quoted 581.00 and my husband I ended up paying 1100.00 dollars. They walked in the door and said " This is an 8 hour job and will run you 1200.00 dollars." I asked the mover to call the main office so that we could confer with the manager. The manager than said he promised it would not be more than 6 hours for 132.00 an hour. One of the movers asked to use our rest room and stayed in the bathroom for 30 minutes. Do not use this company they are untruthful and shameful. They broke items as well. I almost paid cash but decided not too. The movers started back peddling once I told them I would pay with a card.

My husband and I hired this company to move us on Monday. This was our first time using movers because I'm pregnant and don't have the energy to help out like I've been able to in the past. I contacted them one week before our move and spoke with Michael. I thought he was very friendly and informative compared to other companies I had spoken to for quotes. Also, the price seemed fair for what was included so we booked them for a morning move with an 8am to 10am arrival window.On the morning of the move, we had put all of our boxes outside and needed to set up my husband's home office at the new place ASAP so he could continue working on assignments from home. Michael called around 8:30am to keep us informed about when the movers would arrive and we were very pleased that George, Albert, and John arrived on time before 10am. The movers were super friendly and very hard working. Having 3 of them was even better than 2 because one was able to organize our items and maximize the space inside the truck while the other two worked together to bring the items to the truck. In just 3 hours, all of our things got moved to the new place and our furniture was reassembled where we wanted it! Also, none of our items went missing and nothing was damaged due to the care they took. Sorry to those who indicated that their jewelry went missing. We were told by Michael upon booking that we should move any valuables ourselves so that's what we did. Overall, we have absolutely no regrets about hiring this company and highly recommend using their services!

My roommate and I were very satisfied with the service. Steve and Chris moved both of us on the same day to our new home.Great service, great prices, and special handling of all your things.  I was able to use the tall wardrobe boxes, and so happy since I didn't know how I going to move my clothes. I will certainly call on S&D Moving for my next move.

My wife and I hired S&D Moving Company and couldn't be happier with the service we received! They were punctual and efficient.  I was particularly impressed with George's determination and problem solving skills! I was worried that my wife and I were going to have to buy new  couches because the couch couldn't fit through the door! They tried to get the couch in through numerous angles, but the couch is about an inch wider than the door. Finally, George asked the neighbor beneath us if it would be okay for him to step on the little wall of their balcony so that way they can get the couch through the balcony. One man held the couch from the ground while George was on the wall and the other man was at the top of the balcony. Because George was on the wall, he was able to raise the couch higher so that the man in the balcony could reach the couch. I was surprised that the couch had not even the slightest tear! Mission completed! I wish i took pictures or a video of them in action!My wife and I would definetly hire them again and absolutely will refer them to anyone!

This is actually a 0 star. The 3 workers were nice young men. Unfortunately they ripped both corners of a leather chair and dinged a solid wood table. When bringing down the king mattress which they wrapped in plastic it got caught on the fire sprinkler. Causing not only the entire downstairs which completely flooded but Up the stairs. SD Fire and Sheriff arrived. They felt horrible and stated they were going to lose their jobs. The owner operator was immediately contacted and after multiple calls to him, he did not think it was urgent. Giving us many excuses. After 4+ hours he finally showed up. By than we had already had the fire sprinkler company out as the fire dept would not turn the water back on until this was complete. A restoration company had already arrived and started working on getting the water out. It was unbelievable this guy doubted he was responsible. Needless to say the cost for all was over $16,000 and he at first refused to provide his insurance company. We had no choice but to file a claim with our insurance for all repairs and they are now fighting with S and D Moving. The time, expense and grief this has caused is unreal. Highly recommend not to use them!  Take responsibility S&D Moving'
