Short version: Driver showed up and didn't want to prep the walls or doors for the move (he said they only prep floors). Driver was in a rush and didn't want to take the time to do the job right. I spoke to his supervisor and his supervisor told him to prep as per my request. Driver got upset and drove off without delivering my items. His supervisor (Mr. Proseus) found a more professional crew (Steve Donaldson and his crew Manny and Jason) and they did a fantastic job! They prepped everything without complaining! Future customers be warned that your property should be protected and all realistic requests should be honored. If you ever get a driver/packer/moved  that doesn't want to do the prep work or pack your items correctly call their supervisor immediately and call personal property! Military moves aren't cheap and neither should the service military families receive when getting service! Long version: We are a military family and have made 11 moves in 16 years and this by far has been the worst moving experience to date. Our overflow goods were delayed by 30 days because of the peak moving season (moved from Tennessee to San Diego). Though the delay was frustrating we understood that we would have to wait. That said yesterday the movers showed at 2:45 (window was between 2 and 4 pm so good timing). When the "Team Lead" Mr. R showed up I said that I had saved a spot for him in the front but because he was in a rush he said he was going to park in the back of the house. Once Mr. R parked his truck he and his three crew members came inside the house to see where they had to deliver the boxes (garage, one flight of stairs and kitchen). Pretty easy move or so I thought. When I asked Mr. R if he was going to prep the floors walls and doors he said "we only prep floors." As I mentioned earlier we move a lot and know what people are supposed to do. I asked Mr. R to speak to his supervisor and gave me the number. I spoke to his supervisor Mr. Proseus (Mr. P) and he confirmed that the movers were supposed to prep the walls floors and doors. The Mr. R didn't like the fact that I mentioned to his supervisor that I felt he was blowing me off when I asked him to prep the walls and doors. Then Mr. R got in his truck with his moving crew and left my house without packing! Completely unprofessional. Keep in mind I was still speaking on the phone with Mr. P when this guy got in his truck and left. Mr. P was shocked that Mr. R drove off with our stuff and said he would call me back. I waited about 30 minutes to hear back from Mr. P and he informed me that he would try to get another crew out to my house today, but it was looking like a Saturday morning delivery?!?! I will say that Mr. P was able to contact a gentleman by the name of Steve Donaldson to come out to my house that same day and he and his crew (Manny and Jason) and they were amazing! They prepped the walls and doors as per my request (without complaining) and told me that there was no way they could not damage the house if they didn't prep the walls and doors. Mr. Proseus and Mr. Donaldson did a great job getting our stuff delivered. I would have given Republic at least 5 stars, but I gave them a 3 because of the terrible service Mr. R provided my family. The sad thing is that Mr. R is still employed with this company after his shenanigans. So future customers beware and make sure movers protect your property and prep the spaces as per the requirements of their contracts Mr. R should never work with military families EVER.

Steve D. and his crew did an amazing job. 5 star job. They were very professional and worked efficiently. By far the best moving experience I've had thus far. They were on time and prepared to handle all my belongings.

PJ, Dalton, Derek, and Nick are the A team. They bring their game each and every day to help pack and move people. They were so polite, professional and courteous. I never once heard a cuss word out of their mouths. They offered to help me carry my own luggage to my car after working so hard lifting heavy furniture. I am so increased by this crew. Great job and thank you!

I am impressed with this company and it's crew of professionals. I can't say that this move was without it's complications but the crew that showed up were very respectful and tried to take care of our household goods the best they could. The day was hot and towards the end we just wanted to get the move done. It was a 10 hour move and things were bound to get dinged up. Unfortunately the one thing that was damaged was our 4k tv. We submitted a claim and were met at their office. We explained the circumstances along with pictures and after,  their claims department came back and reimbursed us the cost of our TV. Again the way that we were treated during the move and with the claim was nothing but professional. I would recommend them despite the damage to the tv. Like any moving company you need to be involved with the move and ensure that your goods are being treated the way that you want. You clearly can't be everywhere at once though.
