Big Box Storage

My storage has been behind for a few months due to me losing my job. My storage is set to go to auction today. I have the cash to pay it but my son was killed in a car crash this morning. I called the manager to ask him to please give me a couple more days because my son just died and a lot of my son's child hood things are in that storage the manager said sorry for my loss but if I don't pay it in five minutes it's going to be auctioned off today. I told him I only had cash but he refused to give me a couple days to grieve my son's death. This man has no heart. This is at Big box storage in San Diego

Big Box Storage made my life so much easier over the last month I cannot thank them enough ! They were so kind and helpful over the phone and willing to answer all of the questions you had. I was a single female relocating from the east coast so needless to say there were a few dozen things to take care of. I was able to ship my boxes from Cambridge and have them received and stored into an unit for me. Then for $100 they delivered the boxes to my new apartment in San Diego once I requested them. Could not have been easier, would HIGHLY recommend this company!

I have to say, I typically do not leave reviews on Yelp.  But due to the nature of the research I did before committing to Big Box for my storage needs, I wanted to leave my experience for others to use.  Working with Big Box was very easy, transparent, and problem-free.  They explained what I could expect up front, stayed true to their word, and I wasn't hit with any unexpected fees or charges.  Customer service and the drivers were fantastic.Here was the process:1) Called to book Big Box:- Scheduled date/time/location of box drop off- Scheduled pickup time- Was told it was free for initial dropoff/pickup, $78/mo storage cost since I was storing for over 6 months, and would charge me $100 to drop off my stored items and pick up the empty box when I was done with the service2) Driver called on date of move and let me know he would be there soon, showed up on time.  Taught me how to use the box, confirmed pickup time, had me sign the paperwork and process my payment info.3) Moved my stuff into 1 Big Box (able to fit queen mattress, 2 nightstands, two leather loveseats, a coffee table, 4 lamps, 2 end tables in the box, although it was a tight squeeze)4) Driver called before pickup to confirm I was ready and took box away5) Auto billing over 8 months I used storage6) Called 3 weeks in advance to let them know date I needed box delivered, scheduled easily7) Day of move, driver calls 15 minutes before delivery, drops off box, confirms the pickup time with me- Realized the padlock I used on the box was damaged and could not open.  Called customer service, and the driver returned within 30 minutes, opened the lock for me, and replaced my lock for free (thank you!)- Emptied box- Driver picked up boxAnd that's it!  Simple, easy, transparent, no extra fees, no issues, great customer service!  Thanks Big Box, I would absolutely use you again.

This is our first time using these type of storage units.  I called around for quotes and Big Box Storage had the absolute best customer service and great prices. So we were even more pleased this morning when our boxes were delivered by Desmond. He was friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. He was able to fit 3 of these units on our tiny driveway. 5 stars all around!!!

Gotta say 1st of all the ordering process was great costumer service! I don't remember his name but he was very helpful and talking to 2 people on speaker could be very difficult at first. Thank you to Jeff at big box! Jeff delivered 2 boxes to our house. Very nice and informative, great experience called 10 minutes out. Showed up and made sure the boxes were handled properly and balanced out before we started loading. So 5 stars 100% on customer service! Thank you big box!
