Warning! Stay away from USA Movers in Sherman Oaks Ca. They are not a reputable business. Although it appears that they are no longer in business. They damaged thousands of dollars of my furniture, this last January 2014. I expected to be compensated at .60 cents per pound. Which amounted to a little over $900.00. One of the movers tossed a 150 pound speaker over his shoulder like it was a sack of potatoes and crushed the mid-range driver. The set of Pioneer Elite Reference Audio Speakers cost $5000 a set. Yes, I know now that I should have purchased extra insurance. But these guys were absolutely careless, wreck less and irresponsible. After numerous calls to get them to pay based on .60 cents per pound of damaged items (per their agreement), they offered me $300 as settlement. I refused the settlement. After calling them relentlessly, they never called me back. I contacted the CA. Public Utilities Commission, who told me that they lost their insurance in April 2014. And gave me their insurance companies name and number in Northern Cal. And even though USA Movers were insured in January, the insurance company wouldn't pay either, because they are UNABLE to reach USA Movers. Well, yeah, USA Movers "hit the high road" and cannot be found. Lesson learned, only use reputable moving companies who have been around for a while. Check the BBB, Yelp, and find out how long a moving company has been in business. Do your research. I still plan to file a Small Claims suit against them......if I can find them. Wish me luck.

I feel bad for my last review, but it was given based on the customer service I received before Daisy called me back.  It seems that most of them are quite nice and I must have spoken with someone having a bad day or something.  The way she handled the phone call was unprofessional, but Daisy called me back and made me feel more at ease.  I have decided to use USA movers for my future move because of their prices and Daisy's professionalism.  Expect another update on or after March 29, 2014.The move went pretty well. The guys were polite, professional, and fast.

I have moved several times and know the questions to ask.  I understand items must be wrapped, and secured for safety.  In my recent move, I interviewed 6 different companies.  I was moving a few remaining items to another one of my homes.  I was given a price of $940.00.  I asked all of the right questions regarding wrapping, extra costs, how I needed to prepare etc.  I was thorough in explaining that I had glass furniture.  When the crew got there, they started crating things and then charging for "labor" and materials.  I was told they would wrap in blankets for free, but then they said they had to tape the blankets and use tape which I had to pay for.  It is a trick that is used to get the job and then triple the price when one is most vulnerable.  Then they kept saying they were giving me discounts, and best they could do...it was awful and manipulative.  When the crew arrived, they started wrapping everything in blankets, crates, boxes and using rolls and rolls of tape.  I was presented with a bill for close to $3,000.  This is something I had not counted on.  I was told it was for the tape and cardboard used to wrap the furniture.  I had asked about that when I called and was told no hidden fees.  I had this experience in the past, have played the game before and so I know what questions to ask.  When I called USA Top Movers, I was told they would call me back, they did not, then they put me on hold forever, then must have caller ID and stopped answering phone. I explained when I booked the move that I have a very tragic reason for this move and needed to have it as economical as possible.  I am unprepared to pay nearly 3x the amount I was quoted and now they have my belongings telling me first that it was for labor, then it was for wrapping, now telling me I had more than they thought.  Be very careful before you hire a mover I feel so victimized and so helpless.  Go on line and research I did not do that as my regular movers could not do the job when needed and it was an emergency.  By the way, before they left, after all of the conversation about tripling the amount, the foreman told me that if I wanted to give the guys a gratuity to give it to them as the owner will keep it if I put it in the final payment......I do not give bad reviews you can see that from the reviews I leave.  I don't want to ruin anyone's business but I do want to protect consumers from getting ripped off.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. This company will quote you something reasonable and then take you to the cleaners. The actual cost vs the quote was $500 so far. I was quoted by a guy named Mike. I was not given even a 24 notice of the movers arrival, I missed a whole day of work. I was told my delivery would happen within 2 weeks. Now I am 15 days out and am currently sleeping on the floor. I called to get an update since no one bothers to do that and was told another 3-5 days. I start a brand new job on Monday and can't take time off to be with the movers. I asked what will happen if I make the movers wait until I get out of work? It will cost me $100 an hour!!! I don't have my dress clothes for work, I don't have a bed or a couch.Please, everyone report them to the Better Business Bureau. They need to be shut down. Dishonest and distrustful.

I put my information in for an online quote and was HARASSED for days by this company. I'm talking like 5 calls, 3 emails per day. I had already written a nice reply stating that I appreciated the quote and would get back to them within the next 3 days after I had finalized my new address. USA moving response: Snarky voicemail & email with CURSING and ALL CAPS. --Extremely unprofessional, rude, and untrustworthy. I would not attempt to use this company. If you decide to try your luck....be prepared & DO NOT speak with Mike Anthony!!
