Respect Movers

If I could give zero stars I would! We picked this company to move my mom’s 2 bedroom apartment and garage into storage after unexpectedly going into the hospital based on the good reviews. I’m not sure what movers these people received because it seems Respect Movers outsources to smaller companies. Our driver was named Han. We were a little worried when we say the size of the truck. It looked way to small to handle even just the apartment let alone the garage (which later they admitted they brought the wrong size truck). We asked for a team of three so the move would be quicker and hopefully smoother. Sadly, not the case. They blew passed all estimates of time by hours. I’m not expecting movers to sprint but I do expect efficiency. I hate to say, but I feel these guys saw we were women and thought they could take advantage. Long story short, they couldn’t even fit the whole garage and needed to make a second trip. Disappointing, but fine. It’s a one hour drive to the storage unit. It took them an hour and forty minutes. They said they drove slow so nothing would be broken, but then later admitted they stopped for lunch. I’m fine with you getting lunch, just communicate the plan and don’t charge me for your break, which they did. Next, they estimated one hour to empty the truck. It took them 2. Mostly because they were trying to stack trash bins with round tops on top of each other that then fell over, then they would try again. It wasn’t u til my husband stepped in and directed where boxes should be stacked (he works for a postal company) so it would fit and be efficient use of space. After that we were done with their service. It was that bad. We agreed to pay for the work they did but not the drive back. At first the driver Han agreed, but I guess the manager chewed him out because all sudden we had to pay for their drive back and then some. Long story longer the manager hung up on us as we tried to rationally have a conversation and then the owner threatened us before hanging up. My sisters and I were threatened by 3 men in our driveway to now pay 11.5 hours of work “or else”. Worst experience ever for only half the job we needed. Trust me, do not hire this company. You will regret it and feel used. I will never forgive this company for making an already terrible situation for us as a family even worse. Don’t let this happen to you.

Fantasic move service. We moved a small one bedroom from Los Angeles to San Diego and had Bob and Orkhan help us move a weeks ago. The prices were very upfront and reasonable ($99/hour for two guys for moving at the end of the month on peak-time).Both guys worked their hearts out and moved us out and into our new place in San Diego as quickly as possible. Our new building in San Diego is very strict -- things have to be lifted from outside the garage into the freight elevator -- no dragging or pushing of furniture -- but both Bob and Orkhan handled it with aplomb and never complained.All moving companies must charge a "double drive time" for moves longer than 10 miles, and the speed in which they got our stuff from LA to SD was remarkable, which saved us more money (they beat us there, and we were in our own car!)Highly, highly recommended. Nothing was lost or broken. Everything was handled with care and attention.As I've noted before, I reserve 5 stars for exceptional experiences, and I don't give this one lightly! Thanks Bob, Orkhan, and Respect Movers! (Unlike some of my friends who have used other moving services, this was not a mandatory review for some sort of promotion or discount)!

"Respect Movers" helped me with a pretty large move today - and with only 24 hrs notice! Scheduling was easy and reasonably priced! Bob and Orkhan were the two men doing the move and they were through, wrapped everything extremely well so nothing was damaged, and worked efficiently. While the beginning of the move had a bit of a slow start, I appreciated the time they took to ensure that it wasn't rushed and nothing was looked over.I was a HOT day - 104 degrees!! I applaud Bob and Orkhan's work ethic and assistance, and I appreciate "Respect Movers" with assisting in my move.I would definitely recommend! Thank you Bob, Orkhan, and Respect Movers.

Bob and Orkhan did an amazing job helping me move to our new apartment. They were very friendly and very careful with our staff! They carried all our heavy furniture down three flights of stairs then up to another apartment that was on the third floor in a few hours! It was shocking how careful they were and how quickly they moved everything! If I could give 10 stars I really would!!! And definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for professional movers.Thanks guys, you were awesome...

Where to start?After I scheduled a moving from this guys a week ago I got a couple calls from them just to confirm that everything is fine. They care!Today 3 strong guys Bob, Orkhan and Hamlet came to my old apartment and started to work. One of them was packing everything another rolling everything down. Third one was disassembling the beds I have. For two bedroom apartment and a trip they spent something like 5 hours which is great. Definitely will use them for all my moving needs!!!
