Yelp indicates 3 stars as A-OK, and admittedly, I do feel better after one of the service managers, John, gave me a call very quickly after I had posted my review. It's more like 3.5 stars now. I realized I actually maxed out on the word count on my previous review (lol), there was just too much I wanted to share. But by reaching out to me so quickly after I had expressed my frustrations at the experience my husband and I had, Rainbow Movers demonstrated that their teams don't always reflect what they as a company strive for, and that customer service does matter to them. The end of the month is always extremely busy. Although we booked this date more than a month ahead of time, it was unfortunate that we received a relatively inexperienced team. I think our lead mover was actually a substitute for someone else (and he at least tried!). Seems there could be some improvements here as I think customers like us who booked far in advance should have access to a solid team at least, or the vetting process for team members can continuously be improved as every customer should get an experienced, efficient team. To maintain their reputation, they've just got to have the right people, and looks like they are working towards improving that consistently. John was extremely apologetic and assisted in refunding a portion of our huge moving charge (due to it taking way too long to move), for which I am appreciative. Things like a lamp and a broken plate (yes, there's a reason why boxes are marked fragile, lol), among other things, can be replaced but time is harder to get back, so by giving us back some of what was charged through that extensive amount of time was helpful. He listened patiently to the details of our experience and I also appreciate that he did not ask me to update the review afterwards, which I am doing completely out of my own volition. This prompt follow-up does increase the likelihood of giving them another shot or perhaps recommending them in the future.

Go elsewhere.  These guys are competitively priced (I called 4 different movers, including folks that I had used in the past with great success and they were all within $5/hr of each other) but they do not take care of your items. I had a medium sized moved - a 2 bed, 2 bath condo with an elevator going to a 1-story single family home. Everything was packed in boxes, all that needed to be wrapped was the furniture - 3 dressers, a desk, file cabinet, queen bed, dining table, futon, couch, chair and a few side tables. They only wrapped my stuff in plastic wrap!!! Nothing soft. Ugh. Literally every piece of furniture I own has some type of damage to it. Nicked corners, dinged edges, a rip in my box spring (wtf!), scratched. All minor to medium issues that could have been avoided if furniture was wrapped with softer moving blankets and not plastic wrap.  Really, what is the point of plastic wrap?

Rainbow Movers are amazing! They made my move from Irvine to Lake Elsinore so easy. I can't give them a higher recommendation! 5 stars all the way! Thank you!

These guys were wonderful! They arrived early, moved everything so quickly and professionally. All the furniture was wrapped and padded and handled with such care! Big shout out to Alex, Alex, Damir and Abe. They were worth every dime spent! The amount of time and energy they spent helping sort through a nightmare of a garage. I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family.
