I had scheduled my move for 3PM. The movers that OneShotMove hired for my specific move texted me at around 11AM asking if they could come at 12PM-12:20PM. I told them no, my scheduled time was for 3PM. They said ok. At around 2PM, they texted me saying they will arrive at 4PM. I told them my building does not allow large furniture to be moved after 4PM, which is why I had made an appointment for 3PM, and I asked them to come at 3PM as scheduled. They said they will be at my place ASAP. They arrived as scheduled at 3:15PM, and moved everything out of my small first-floor studio apartment in less than 25 minutes! I saw one of the movers, Alex, chuckling to himself as he walked into my apartment for the initial check because I guess he thought it wasn't much stuff compared to other moves they've done. I was only moving 10 medium boxes, a bed and mattress, light desk, a microwave and printer. I knew it wasn't much compared to the pictures I saw on Yelp. It was almost therapeutic to watch everything being moved so quickly out of the apartment I was so ready to move out of. They worked very quickly, quietly and neatly, and the two movers were very courteous and efficient. I moved just two miles away to another apartment, so the entire move took only an hour! Their minimum charge is for 3 hours, which I think is a good system and incentivizes the movers to work quickly especially in situations like mine where the job can be done fast. I used my Yelp voucher of $20 for $50. In total, I paid around $220 using my card, and also a  cash tip of $28 for two movers. There is an option to add a tip when you pay the moving fee using your card, but I think having a cash tip is better because I assumed it would go directly to the movers. I recommend having cash because the moving fee is ~$10 less per hour using cash. I highly recommend OneShotMove to anyone moving in the LA area.

I asked this company to pack personal effects into freight boxes, to mark them as personal effects children's clothing, make an inventory of all the items and then if they could take some bathroom scales and weigh them for me as I am in UK and couldn't weigh them myself. They confirmed that they could do this for me and that I would be charged for 3 hours and the cost of the boxes.The staff they sent to do the job barely spoke any English and were just pouring the clothes into the boxes without listing them. I had to call our friend in LA to sort the problem out and wasted time and money getting the most simple of things done.Later I spoke to their office and to my surprise they hadn't even weighed the boxes.Andrew, who was the member of staff that told me they would do these things for me, wasn't in the office and the girl on the phone, who's English wasn't up to scratch although bless her sole was trying her best to sort out the mess, told me that even the manager wasn't there and that Andrew texted her saying they didn't provide this service and that I only hired them to pack.At this point I am totally stressed out by these people who are eager to take my money but not eager to talk to me or provide the promised service.

Had the pleasure of moving (how often is that phrase used??) with Alex and Alex on 7/23/17. They were fantastic. The texted me on their way that they anticipated arriving earlier than my scheduled move time, and wanted to know if that was okay. I didn't have to check on your ETA, you're early, and want to get started right away?? Done and done. The guys wrapped all the furniture up, had the boxes I had already packed, and the furniture moved and ready in the truck within an hour and a half. We had the truck emptied an hour later. Polite, courteous, and impressed me just a bit by moving 2 boxes of books for every 1 I could lift. Even later that afternoon, when I panicked in thinking I had left a box somewhere, they were polite and calm and jumped through hoops to recheck the truck and make sure I was taken care of. (I found the box tucked behind the desk later that night.) I would recommend them highly for moving. PS. Having water bottles on hand for the quick breaks is a good idea. I definitely took more water breaks than they did.

The day began, early and tired. Even though it was the big moving day, we were not bummed out. This is because we had booked OneShotMove Moving Company! Alex and and Igor were friendly, and moved my stuff quickly and carefully from my storage unit to my apartment. The process was painless -- I might even say downright pleasant! They will be my go-to guys for my next move, 100%

Outstanding movers! This was the first time my boyfriend and I used movers and we are never going back. They kept in contact regarding arrival time. They were very friendly and helped pack everything we had that we're still loose. They moved very fast and were extremely friendly and professional. They had dolly's extra boxes, and wrapping material needed. They even covered all our furniture to make sure they were secure. The movers we had were Alex, Alex, and Andrew. We will definitely request them again!
