Love our guy Steven, Michael and Moses. They worked so hard in a hot day and treated us with such respect. I feel bad everytime when they need to use the bathroom they would need to get permission. But I guess that the company's regulation. Items are packed nicely and treated with care. Small scratches on one of the heavy item as the stairs down is really narrow. I witnessed them struggled to move it down. And Steven ensured us with all the claims and insurance. We are satisfy with that. I just wish the delivery team is as efficient as this LA team here * finger crossed!!

We used NorthStar Moving Co. to move our stuff to new house located 6-minute drive away.Heard about a very good reputation about NorthStar and we were not disappointed after watching they completed their job. The moving team led by Carlos, along with Luis, Danis and K.K. Frank worked very efficiently. They arrived before 9AM and finished their job in the afternoon even with an hour lunch break. One of the tough job, and they did it very well, was to move our huge refrigerator out of old house into the new. The door was simply too small to let the refrigerator go thru. They had to dissemble the door, let it slip thru narrow door and re-assembled it back at the new house. Another tough job (or jobs) was to re-assemble dismantled futon bed and two "antique" teak beds back to their original form.The team was polite, cordial and friendly. Would ask question before they moved stuff and re-ask question when they put stuff into rooms. The only thing they annoyed us a bit was they were playing REALLY LOUD Mexican music throughout the whole moving process (to speed up the work?).

DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY. We are currently in the midst of trying to find out where our belongings are. It's been THREE WEEKS since NorthStar Moving Company picked up our belongings from Los Angeles and we get the run around about where our belongings currently are. They repeatedly tell us they will return our calls and they never do. Yesterday (August 10th) we were told they were still in the Los Angeles warehouse EVEN THOUGH THEY TOLD US THEY WOULD DELIVER OUR STUFF BY AUGUST 11th at the latest. The worst part is that we recently had a death in the family. NorthStar Moving Company will not tell us where our belongings are nor give us an estimated date when they will arrive. This is going to cause either my spouse or I to MISS THE VIEWING AND FUNERAL of a loved one. I really can't emphasize how frustrating this process has been. I wish we never hired this company in the first place. Gil, our Relocation Specialist, was great but after they picked up our stuff, everything has gone downhill. Again, for long distance moves, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Moving back to our house almost a year later  and finally seeing the damage Northstar did. Their packers broke half our set of dishes we got for our wedding which aren't made anymore, plus numerous other things due to poor packing. Single sheets of paper between dishes?  Really?  We're basically sitting here opening up boxes of broken things Northstar packed. Moreover, they never made good on any of the issues from the original move (e.g. drinking on the job, lots of stuff ended up in the wrong place, etc) Their insurance provides sixty cents a pound and there's so paperwork its not worth the time to fill out.I was left with no other recourse but to make a dispute with my credit card company and then Northstar accused me of fraud and told me they'd never work with me again. Which is so dumb it's actually hilarious. I'd rather eat carpet tacks than work with Northstar again. Ultimately I'd have saved a few thousands bucks and a lot of time by just smashing all my stuff myself and calling it a day.

Luis and his crew: Tavon and Adi did  a great job moving our things to storage while we remodel.  Antique furniture was wrapped and packed nicely and handled with care. Communication was great.  The crew worked so hard on a very hot day and were so very helpful.  Thank you NorthStar!
