We booked NorthStar on Tuesday for a move on Friday and they were able to schedule us Friday morning! This in itself felt like a miracle to me. David, Moses and Steven showed up right on time with a smile and all three were very friendly and had positive attitudes!They had their van packed with all of our 2 bedroom apartment in 1.5 hours, even with some disassembly (curse you, IKEA!). The rates were comparable to what I've seen before, every aspect of the booking and move felt professionally handled. David was great about feedback. I would definitely call these guys again for my next move.

Update - This is really scary but the leader of the move gave me a compliment saying my review is "funny" and wrote me a nasty message regarding my review."I honestly think your whole review sucks I honestly think you could I gave nor start 5 stars they did so much for you and you only given 4 stars your whole paragraph doesn't make sense talking about it took 3 hours with your other moving company that if it took only 3 hours with the other moving topping in the guys Tony who's gonna take 78 hours on the seat obviously there's a reason you tell you 78 hours you had a lot of shit you know me and you expect people to do all your shit and 3 hours did you mention that you live in a house did you mention that you are living in a 2 story apartment that they had to take everything down the stairs no so you're full of shit." I can say my review was honest and documented all the events of the move. This was what I was referring to about how the leader was extremely rude and unprofessional during the move. His message was mean and made no sense. The place I moved out of was a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor of an apartment building with elevators so they did not use the stairs. Everything was packed and ready to go. I am not full of shit. If I was wrong, then why did Wendy agree that taking 7 hrs and 45 mins to move was a fail? The leader was the one who was difficult. The other two movers were hard working and did their job. I was also very generous with him and his team on the day of the move. I bought them breakfast and lunch combos because I didn't want them to starve on top of tipping each mover $20 in the end. I've also blocked him because I feel extremely unsafe. Is this the type of service North Star movers provide? This is ridiculous. Stay away from Vathe.

I needed to get out of my apartment, and quick. Dumpster fires, rabid homeless people, and the occasional drunken zombie. It was the apocalypse. So when I found the perfect apartment, I asked my friends if they could recommend a moving company.  Northstar was mentioned a few times and they had availability for when I wanted to move.  Three guys were enough for my one bedroom apartment. They showed up at the beginning of the time window I was quoted and were ready to get started. The team lead, Anthony M. , was on top of it. A real professional. He told how long it was going to take and exactly how the move was going to go. The move went perfectly thanks to Anthony and Emanuel. They just left half an hour ago and I'm already in my new home and loving life. I highly recommend these moving commandos for moves big and small.

After having horrible experiences with two local moving companies, I called NorthStar and was greeted and didn't get a slimy sales pitch but a very thorough description of what we could expect on the big day.  We had a crew of three guys who showed up right on time!  They all took great care of my stuff. I have a lot of one of a kind antiques and they were very respectful. Did I mention it was over 100 degrees!  The crew didn't slow down until they had lunch.  Then it was right back to unloading. They did an amazing job hanging my clothes in our closet!  I would not think twice about using them again. I highly recommend NorthStar.

When the boyfriend and I moved into our apartment 2.5 years ago, we decided it was a temporary stay (due to the fact that we don't have A/C or heat...), and threw out all our crappy furniture to start anew. Well, not really new...more like I took all my parents stuff from their home and absconded with it.However, one noticeable difference between the two is that one was a 3.2k sqft home and the other is an 800sqft apartment without vaulted ceilings, or like, space...also I can't take a sledgehammer to any walls to "open it up" as my mother was wont to do. After so long we figured it was time to replace the large dining room table that seats EIGHT for something smaller - and giving back to storage a few other things I thought might look nice. Plus a couch I should throw away but I can't because reasons. Obviously I'm not about to give up family heirloom furniture, made in the 1940's and brought lovingly back from Japan. Off to storage we go!And clearly, we wanted the best to handle and Tetris the furniture into this tiny space we rented, so 8 different quotes later I found that Northstar was the best. Best in price, best in terms and stipulations, best to contact, easiest to set up.They arrived and got everything out in a flash, met me at the unit, and unloaded it literally expertly. I have a picture. It's beautiful. Northstar probably makes potential job candidates take a crazy hard Tetris exam.Honestly, when we move again (not for quite some time but still), I'll definitely be using Northstar. They live up to the hype!
