Day 2  Now moving with another partner movers: Melrose moving company. Make sure to ask for Roman and Gary they are friendly and professional. They even problem solved where to put stuff.

Smooth move. Is there really such a thing? Not exactly, as you have to deal with your flotsam and jetsam, unless you're SO attached that you MUST bring it with you. Me? Not a stitch of it and that's what took me so long to make my move, the weeding out, the gifting of friends, the donating, the shredding...Ready to contract a professional mover, I checked Yelp to find my dear friend Laura D. yelp.com/user_details?us… gave Melrose Moving five stars. She's as picky as I am and that was good enough for me.Book your move pared down like mine, or ALL your stuff online or call to schedule an appointment. Old fashioned I called albeit after hours BUT Melrose Moving returned my call the following day within the time I specified in voicemail.Booked for the following week, here's how my move broke down plus terms and conditions:RATE PER HOUR: $90 cash/ $100 credit cardADDITIONAL FEES: 50 flat rate for truck, $4 per mile between your locations - Mileage WaivedNUMBER OF MOVERS: 2MINIMUM HOURS: 3SUPPLIES:We provide moving blankets, dollies, carts and tools free of charge, and we will disassemble and reassemble your furniture. Furniture needs to be properly wrapped to prevent damage. Our movers can wrap the furniture for you during the move. We offer boxes, tape, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, etc. for sale during the move for your convenience.GRATUITIES:Tips are NOT included in the price and are highly appreciated by our movers!INSURANCE:We carry the California standard basic moving insurance. You will be responsible for the parking and any parking tickets and processing fees.Melrose Moving called to confirm my 8:00AM - 10:00 AM arrival window the day before and my moving team Denis and Sergey called a tad after 8:00AM to let me know they'd be at my home by 9:10AM, they were.After assessing the workload, completing paperwork, start time was set at 9:30 AM and this duo hustled to load the boxes I'd pre-packed and labeled, although they would have done this for me. If I'd had furniture to dis- then re-assemble they'd have done that too.  By noon (we happily paid the three hour minimum in cash and added a generous cash tip) my stuff, well most of it had been delivered to my new home. Uh oh, the bolster and other pillows weren't there.Quick call to Melrose Moving and shortly thereafter, Denis called to apologize and say he was back at my new address with the omitted items. I am thoroughly impressed with Melrose Moving's work ethic and professionalism. Trust me you will be too!

Dennis, Sergey and Ramil from the Melrose Moving company helped us move today and they were fantastic! Very fast and careful with everything.  Would use these guys again and will recommend them to my friends.
