I have used Allied Stadler and Jensen twice (used to be called Jensen Relocation). The first time was  when I moved across the country. The moving crew then was extremely professional, courteous, prompt, and efficient. Everything arrived in one piece - that is, nothing broken, cracked or damaged in any way. However, I somewhat expected that because I figured my stuff was only on a truck on the interstate highway. The second time using Allied Stadler and Jensen was my move to Asia. The moving crew this time was also extremely professional, prompt, efficient, and polite. Because it was an international move, they had to pack, which they did with the utmost care. When my stuff arrived, having traveled on various trucks, a cargo ship, and so on, I was truly amazed that like before, everything arrived intact - nothing was damaged and everything was expertly packed. Once can be lucky, but twice means that this is an extraordinary moving company. I say extraordinary because Jim Stadler himself came to do an assessment and he gave a very fair and reasonable rate. The contact, Pam Cox, was extremely knowledgeable, highly professional, and promptly replied to my emails and answered all my questions. She was also reassuring since it is nerve-wracking moving across the world. They performed beyond my expectations and nothing could have gone smoother or more efficiently. Especially if you are planning a big cross-country or international move, I would strongly recommend this company. I cannot praise them enough - and believe me, I have very high standards when it comes to service.

We have used Jensen twice for moving. They are reliable as they show up exactly when they say they will, and they are polite and courteous. This has a lot of value. Here's why I drop my star rating:1. They have shown up on both moves with a truck that is not big enough2. Both times they did not bring enough wardrobe boxes - even though I specifically requested extra3. Furniture gets scratched and they don't mention it - of course it takes a few days before you realize 4. Items get left behind because they don't have enough room on the truck. Please note: our house was completely packed and ready to go on move out day.  Yes, we were a large home, but we were organized and ready to go. On our last move - thank goodness it was local - we had to rent a mini van last minute and fill it twice with items they couldn't fit on the truck. The keys to our home had to be handed over by 5pm to the new owners on move out day.  Because Jensen missed items, I wound up having to leave behind expensive large ceramic pots/vases filled with plants that I could not move myself, as they 'didn't fit on the truck'.If you use Jensen make sure you cross reference , repeat many times and over label everything.  Moving is stressful, but worrying about items not making it on the moving van is ridiculous.

We only use Jensen when we move - years will go by and we'll decide to move, and the same team of movers who boxed up our stuff during the previous move will arrive on moving day.  They have a consistent staff of careful, pleasant guys who have great senses of humor.  In all of our moves with Jensen (even when we used them as our receiving agent during our move home from New York) we've never had an item broken or stolen.  Love them!

I used Jensen Relocation to move from SF to LA. Best moving experience I've had. Great, funny, polite movers. Hope I don't have to move again, but if I do, I'll be calling Jensen Relocation again!

In May 2014, I chose Allied for a cross country move because I had used them several years ago (another office) and also the reviews for this mover in Lawndale were favorable.  The start of the move in LA was okay and the guys helping the driver of the truck were fine.  When the mover arrived at my East Coast address on May 27th, it was a rainy day and since the moving truck would not fit on the property, he had to get a smaller U-Haul, fill it twice and bring the items into my home.  There were a lot of boxes along with the furniture and the mover did not ask me to check off items as they were brought in.  By the next morning, I discovered I could not find my Dyson vacuum.  The mover was still in town, so I called him and asked if he had seen it and he said "oh yeah, we brought it in".  It wasn't in a box but was supposed to have a sticker on it.  Since the 2nd bedroom had most of the boxes stacked in it, I thought maybe the Dyson was behind them.  By the time I emptied all the boxes, there was NO vacuum anywhere.  I called the Lawndale office and the girl seemed surprised that the mover did not have me check off items on the invoice.  She sent me a form to file a claim, and the claims adjuster denied it since there was "no exception for the item was made on the delivery date", putting the blame for the missing Dyson on me.  Considering the circumstances, how was I to know that the vacuum was missing, especially when the  mover said it was brought into my home?  It is obvious that Allied either 1.) delivered the vacuum to another customer whose household items were also on the moving truck and they were not honest enough to report it  2.) it truly did get "lost" somehow, somewhere across the country or  3.) the Dyson was stolen.  My claim was sent to arbitration and I am being offered the standard 60 cents/lb. for the grand total of $12.00 for a $400 Dyson vacuum cleaner.  I am disgusted with them!  Allied is not interested in good customer service even though their driver cannot seem to account for my missing vacuum. That was a big purchase for me, I had saved for that Dyson and only had it about a year.  One last comment - I had mentioned to the mover that I could fit the vacuum into my car since I was driving across the country and he said not to do that, he would put it on the truck with a sticker.  I will never use Allied again or recommend them to anyone.
