I had an exceptional experience with canxpress moving . We moved across the country and had lots of furniture and boxes from our two bedroom apartment shipped in a trailer. The movers met us at the truck depot to move everything into their truck. They even helped us repack (free supplies!) when we discovered that a few of our boxes had water damage. At our apartment, I couldn't believe how fast the process was completed. They asked where we wanted the furniture and boxes so we wouldn't be moving things around later. Each of the movers was very careful with our possessions which I appreciated. All in all the entire process only took 3 hours, including an hour driving.

I have worked with many movers over the years due to my job requires me to relocate a lot.  This is the first time I have been driven to give a negative review of any company in my life.  In the beginning you get a person on the phone that seems real and you think your working with a professional.  Having looked online at their reviews, I found only one review that was negative...now I'm shocked there aren't more.  When discussing my belongings over the phone, I listed all the items I had to move and gave an estimate on boxes.  I used my last move as a basis for boxes.  I knew there was a chance to go over my estimate as I have done so in the past and had to pay a about $300 more then originally estimated.  I believe that as a professional moving company you should be able to nail down a cubic space pretty darn close based on the description given and this has always been my past experience.  Having done a move only a year before from Oregon to SD, California the quote given to move from SD, California to Boise, ID was very close and I moved forward with the contract.  The person I was dealing with mis-calculated my cubic space so badly that I had to pay triple the quote. After being upset by this miscalculation, they offered $700 off, but this still left my quote at double.  This increased the quote by a little over $2,000.  I didn't care how much the move was as my company would have paid whatever was on the quote.  I had nothing to gain by under calculating my belongings.  When I questioned the company regarding this, they said I had gone over the cubic feet.... this felt like a bate and switch where they wanted to be the lowest guy and then got there with my stuff packed on their truck and suddenly my cost was double.  I am not a professional mover, but never have I had a company estimate my move so badly.  I was told over the phone that I would receive my belongings in 7-9 days.  The contract said that West coast states would take up to 9 days to receive your belongings...I received my belongings 16 days after they picked up my belongs.  When I questioned them regarding this, they were rude to me and told me that the contract said they have up to 14 days to deliver.  This was different then what I was told.  Additionally, the contact only outlined west coast, Midwest, and east coast.  They don't outline West and East as separate areas.  So they called Idaho Midwest and something they don't point out to you but is in the contract is that they don't start counting the days until the day you say they can deliver.  So its 14 days from date outlined for delivery in lieu of from date they pick up.  I was upset about being verbally misled by this and just wanted to have a time frame of when I would get my things.  They were short with me and said they would call me...they never called me when they said they would. I had to constantly follow up.  They even hung up on me and indicated they never said the things they actually said.  They were completely unprofessional from the time they took possession of my items to delivery.  I would advise against using this company unless you want your cost to be double what they quote you and your things to arrive on the last possible day they could be delivered...they are rude, unprofessional, and once they have your things they no longer act as if they care.  Moving is stressful enough...no one needs this added stress to a move.
