A few months ago this company contacted me re: my move to Washington.  John was very friendly and knowledgeable, so I signed up with Alpha & Omega Moving & Storage for the move.  John stated on the phone that a deposit of $300.00 was required to hold the spot; which was not an issue but that Monday morning, Alpha & Omega Moving & Storage accounting department charged me $370.00.  When I brought this to John's attention, he said that he forgot to inform his department of the discount.  Nevertheless, I told not to worry about it.  Now... fast forward 2.5 months later; John is no longer with the company, I never signed the estimate (agreeing to the price and move), and someone else is now telling me that my deposit of $370.00 in non-refundable!  I stated to Dee the move is no longer going to happen, and her response "that $370.00 will be here waiting for you when you do move."  Just because this company had the better price does not mean they are competent.  For them to hold $370.00 hostage really does say a lot about the type of company they are.  Instead of understanding the logistics of why this move was cancelled because I have 5 children with special needs and placing then in another school district and trying to find daycare was nearly impossible, this company has decided to keep my money.  They are unprofessional, unreliable, and I would never ever recommend anyone to them.  I have reached out to my card company and filed a dispute along with a complaint to the BBB, a Small Claims filing for TORT damages.  This company should be held liable for the numerous customers they steal from and destroyed items.  This company thinks I am wasting my time over $370.00 but in actuality I am not because it's about the principal.  If customers allow companies to do this, they will never be taught a valuable lesson.  7/11/17 @ 3:40pm from Dee at Alpha & Omega Moving & Storage "Hi Natalie,I put in a request for a refund since we last spoke. The same contract we would have had to follow by if the ball was in your court meaning if you didnt sign the contract we wouldnt have had to show up? John and I spent many hours with you on the phone, our dispatched team scheduled you for pick up then postponed your pick up and then rescheduled you for a pick up within 2 days. If we were late for your pick up you would have posted negative reviews as well. Companies always get the down fall from customers because they believe they are right no matter what. There was a contract sent to you many times before you agreed to pay and it was your responsibility to read and understand. Alpha & Omega Moving is hands down the worst moving company out there. What to expect: shady business practices, deceptive sales tactics, extremely late delivery, damaged/missing items, additional fees after they have all your belongings loaded in the truck.I hired them to move my items interstate from SF to Chicago. I had a binding moving estimate based on (cubic feet, not weight) for $2,500, which included a highly detailed list of everything (number of boxes/ size of boxes, furniture, etc.). I ended up moving less than what was listed on my binding estimate and they still increased the price by more than $1,200 AFTER my things were already on the truck (which btw is illegal under federal regulations for interstate movers. According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, an arm of the U.S. Department of Transportation, any change to a written binding estimate must be made BEFORE anything is loaded on the moving truck, not after - and both parties must agree in advance).On top of that, the sales guy, Sasha, told me my items would arrive in Chicago on March 28th. My items arrived over 30 DAYS late (April 30th). I called everyday asking what the deal was (Sasha never returned any of my phone calls). Someone I spoke to finally told me my items were being stored in a warehouse in Portland for no reason. When my items finally arrived, everything smelled like mildew. I had to toss out a lot of expensive clothes and leather furniture because I couldn't get the smell out. Pick a different company.

Too bad they don't offer a -10 star rating because this company definitely achieved it.If you want your items damaged, broken, or stolen Then Aloha & Omega Moving is the company for you.  Antiques destroyed, 52" tv destroyed, stereo system missing, Antique Tiffany lamp missing, wicker antique chair missing, safe damaged, roll away toolbox damaged and one section missing, new recliner damaged, and the list goes on.  Not to mention items they forgot to put on truck and how they tried to scam more money out of us twice.  Police report will be made tomorrow and I will let my insurance company deal with them.  Just disgusting.

Is this the same Alpha & Omega Moving and Storage? wow really bad. They essentially doubled the moving price on a woman and would not turn over anything until they were paid the jacked up price, and state troopers had to force them to hand over the belongings. azfamily.com/story/35879…

These people are shady, lying theives. Changing prices and gouging you after they have loaded your things. Making you pay cash upfront should be a huge red flag.  They deserve a negative 10 rating at least.  They steal your belongings and deliver them broken. DO NOT hire them!
