Unfortunately I need to update this review. While their moving services were great and by great I mean timely, they don't mess around, work hard to move your stuff and they won't hold your stuff for ransom (like some scammers do) their packing services lacks a lot to be desired.We had to leave our house in AZ 3 days earlier and hired Poindexter Moving to pack and move our belongings. Our realtor was in charge of unlocking and locking our house for them. Half of our belongings have been in storage for the last 3 months (since we moved to Colorado) and I am now unpacking a lot of these boxes because we just bought a house. I should've noticed something was wrong when my husband called me from the storage unit 3 months ago to ask me what to do with my shoes... I was expecting those shoes to be packed in a box clearly marked as "shoes" or something like that. While we were still in AZ I took the time to move EVERYTHING we wanted in storage to one room so they'd have an easier time packing and I clearly marked that room as storage. By everything I mean, I even took pictures and paintings off the wall and moved them to that specific room.Well, 3 months later I'm opening boxes (some of them weren't even taped) and I'm finding a bunch of items all dumped in a box with no rhyme or reason. So far in the same box I've found bed comforters used to wrap some kitchen items, mixed with paintings and a big framed picture that weren't wrap in anything all smashed in a box with dusty patio rugs and other items.Our recliners weren't stretch wrapped. We have a trundle bed and two twin mattresses that weren't stretch wrapped either and the so called closet boxes they packed our clothes in are a mess also. Shoes and clothes mixed together so I'm having to wash and deeply clean everything.The point of hiring a moving company that would pack for us was to take that stress and time consuming task out of our hands. Had I know their packing was gonna be so sloppy, I would've done it myself. Yes, their pricing was very competitive but if I were you I'd hire them to MOVE your stuff only. One of our paintings is dented (I haven't checked anything else and we probably won't do it for months because we're waiting until we paint our new home to hang all of our pictures and paintings).I did have a packing moving company move us from Seattle to Phoenix and they did box and packed everything neatly, stretch wrapped my sofas and clearly marked all our stuff.I had an issue with Poindexter Moving the day before our move where their customer service person told me the price we agreed upon didn't include packing. It was JUST moving. After reviewing the contract they realized the price included packing and moving. I don't wanna think they made a mistake when they quoted me that price and tried to cut costs by not packing stuff properly but it seems a little but suspicious.Other than that, I have no problem with the crew that came to our apartment. Both movers were hard workers but like I said, their packing services need to improve a lot.

We called Poindexter Moving to make a short move for us.  We have used movers before with not the greatest results.  Not this time.  Speaking to the main office was so easy.  Charges were spelled out clearly AHEAD OF TIME rather than being surprised when I got the bill.    I made an appointment for Friday at 9:00AM.  Friday at 9am they arrived. Mike, Ian, and Joey couldn't have been nicer to work with.   They immediately took the stress out of the move.  From previous unpleasant moves with other companies i was not aware of what they (other companies) were doing.  Poindexter explained what was happening all the way.  They shrink wrapped all furniture.  We were put at ease while they packed us.   They charge by the hour and I was told ahead of time roughly how long it would take.  The guys came in and started right away.  They didn't sit around running up the time nor did they skip corners prepping the furniture for the move.  5 STARS isn't enough to express how satisfied we were with the front office along with MIKE, IAN and JOEY.  Thank you for a very pleasant experience!

I have to tell ya and I'm sure you already know this. Moving is stressful. Nothing about that will ever change. But the key to moving is not having unexpected surprises. My latest move has had a few. But these guys are by far the most reliable and professional part of my move. They were on time. They were fast but thoughtful about what I needed and what I wanted. I'm a harsh critic. They surpasses my expectations and have garnered reference for all those expecting to move.

These guys were awesome. Martin, Marcus, and Colin came to move my family of 4, and were nothing short of awesome. They worked fast, but safely and thoroughly. They were polite and courteous, not only to me, but my children as well. I will definetely be recommending Poindexter in the future, and using them for future moves. Thanks again guys!

Poindexter came highly recommended by a friend, and bonus points, they had a Groupon deal. I spoke with Kimberly in the office and she was very friendly, and helped me with all my questions. We were all set!Eric, Andrew, and Robert were our movers, and they were friendly and fast! The move was done in a blink of an eye. Thanks guys!It really was a stress-free, quick move and we're very glad we got them! Will hire again if another move is in our future!
