I contracted Move Smart after conducting a lot of research on quality and pricing ... it certainly didn't hurt that ABC 15 featured them as well. They were reasonably priced and had absolutely NO hidden fees ... they are also the only company I saw that didn't charge a "truck fee," so that was also a plus.The movers showed up on time, and I even received an email when they were en route to the house. We had a three-man crew show up, and once they arrived they immediately got to work. They collapsed all beds, desks, etc, and loaded them up - to their credit they also grabbed some of the loose items that I hadn't boxed up and put them safely on the truck. A monsoon and dust storm rolled through as well, and when they saw it coming they closed up the truck but continued packing / moving things inside to ensure no time was lost. I was very impressed with that. We had a relatively short move, only about 15 miles, and it took 4 hours, which I thought was reasonable. They also charge in 15-minute increments, so it's nice they did not round up to 5, charging me an extra hour in the process.The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because a few days after the move, my fiance and I decided to move one of the beds to another room, and as I was disassembling it I found three of the screws in the bed frame had been stripped. One had actually broken off in the frame itself, so they drilled a new hole and replaced the screw. Because the bed had been reassembled I had already signed off that there was no damage, and frankly, they did take good care of the furniture during the move (wrapping everything in blankets and shrink wrap), but I would have like to have been notified that the screws were stripped. Still, I understand things happen and frankly a 3 10-cent screws at Ace Hardware did the trick anyways. Thanks to Move Smart for making the moving day so easy on us - I truly appreciate it.

Wow.  Can we give Zero Stars?  Where do I start.  NEVER hire this company.We needed to move from our home in Austin TX to Mesa, AZ.  Our contract called for 4 movers, 2 drivers.  They showed up with 3 movers, 1 driver.  Apparently from reading other reviews, it is not uncommon for this company to promise a lot and then deliver much less, including the # of helpers.Short story, these guys rent trucks.  They don't own trucks.  In our case they rented a 26 ft ryder truck to move us from a 4200 sq ft home.  No surprise, they couldn't fit our stuff into their truck.  Now we were informed that we had to rent a UHaul (we were told a 20 foot truck to be sure we had enough room).  After renting this truck for $1300, we were then told that our patio furniture wont fit......we gave away $3000 worth of furniture to our cleaning ladies in TX.Then we had to drive 16 1/2 hours in a uhaul to PHX, because the moving company only had 1 driver despite what their contract said.When we complained about having to drive a UHaul 16 1/2 hours to AZ (we had plane tickets), Ian threatened to have his movers unload our belongings into the street.  Ian said we can find someone else to move us.  He claimed its not his fault he couldn't provide 4 movers and 2 drivers, as our contract stated.  We have multiple damaged pieces of furniture.  When we pointed these things out to the movers we were told "the furniture was wrapped".  This means that the furniture was wrapped with cellophane.  I can tell you first hand, that does not prevent damage.I personally supplied tools for the movers to disassemble furniture.  What movers don't have tools?Finally, and perhaps the most telling part of the story as it relates to the character of this Company, I decided that the actual movers on our job had worked hard and were not part of management.  I gave them a tremendously generous tip given the experience of $100 a man ($300) total.  The lead guy, Quinton, took the money and then asked us if the other guys knew what the tip was.  We told him yes.  He was clearly trying to not give the money to his helpers, and as it turns out, Quinton is part of management.Do yourself a favor.  NEVER hire these guys.  They are liars and your belongings will get damaged.

Who loves moving?! Most of us agree that moving is a big pain in the butt! That's why I'd rather pay people to move my stuff especially since I'm 8 months pregnant. I was referred by someone since they had just moved and had a raving experience. The initial scheduling went well and Ian quoted me an awesome price for 3 people at 9a on a Saturday. Unfortunately, I get a call two days before our scheduled date that they had a scheduling conflict and had to reschedule me from 9a to 1p. What am I gonna do? Decline? I didn't have time to find another moving company who is available on a Saturday morning. The morning of the move, the guys were running late due to a prior move and didn't get to my residence until almost 3p. I've been up since 7a and I haven't had a nap so I'm really frustrated. When the guys got there, there were two (not three, from what I expected). The two guys were working hard though from start to finish to get us moved and of course, I tipped them for their hard work. We were done in a little more than 4 hours and because of the inconvenience, we were given a discount for the services, which I think I should have any way since there were only 2 people. I give them three stars due to the scheduling issue and the miscommunication of the 3 person vs 2 person thing. However, the prices are reasonable (I researched on other companies and they charge a trip charge which they don't do) and the guys got it done with no damages!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would.I called to schedule my move about a week in advance, the owner said no problem and that he put me on the schedule. The day of the move... no one showed up. I called to see what the issue was, the owner said he would check on it and call me back. Half an hour later, no call. I called back only to hear "Oh, you're not on the schedule today." Was anyone going to tell me? Apparently not.I told him I needed someone today, he said "Let me see what I can do" and that he would call me back. AGAIN, no call back. I never heard from them again. I then had to scramble to find movers that could come right away, as I had to be out of my apartment that day.This is extremely disappointing because I used them a couple of years ago, and they were great. Although they have good pricing, I will never rely on them again.

Absolutely outstanding customer service!  For various reasons, I had numerous changes (some last minute) regarding the date of move and the level of service needed - Ian (sp ?) was always cheerful and totally understanding.  I was referred to Move Smart Moving by the manager of a storage unit facility - she stated that she had only heard great things about MSM from people and I can see why - could not ask for better service!  Very reasonable pricing too with no hidden fees.  Highly Recommend!
