I'm very suspicious of these other 5-star reviews after going throughout the experience we had with Cardinal. Moving from Eureka, California to Hilo, Hawaii. It was a living nightmare for me and my wife. The day of the move, they "strong-armed" us for another $5,000 dollars, or else they wouldn't take the items that were already on a previous estimate. As it turned out we proved that they were trying to exaggerate and "pad" our bill with an overestimation of the square footage needed for our move. At the receiving end, there movers took over a month to deliver the container that was sent by Matson and sitting on their dock for weeks in Hawaii. Once the deliver actually happened, they swamped us with 8 delivery "boys". They were calling off wrong numbers and duplicate numbers to mix up our count-of of the original manifest of items.We had 11 boxes missing, and to this day(over a year later) have never been found. we also had many pieces of fine furniture damaged and one dresser destroyed with a broken leg. My grandmothers heirloom dishes were all broken, dishes that were well packed in foam and cardboard dividers in a specifically made for dishes moving box, that was well marked "fragile and glass". They also tried to delivery someone else's tools and golf clubs in our load. So I suspect they delivered our 11 boxes to someone else?Stay clear of this company, they are not only expensive, but also cause a lot of heart ache and anxiety at the worst time, during a move that's already stressful!BTW, Cardinal had the nerve to offer us $200 for our claim with the requirement that we must give no negative reviews, which we turned down!

NO-SHOW Early Cardinal. Drove the big U-Haul truck all night to the storage unit with furnishings from a 3-bedroom house. Early Cardinal moving helpers never showed up to unload. Don't know if U-Haul, movinghelp.com, or Cardinal is to blame. Regardless a catastrophe beyond description. Don't trust U-Haul reviews!

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! TOTAL SCAM!THE HIGH RATINGS ARE EMPLOYEES!My mothers belonging came in and several things were stolen. It was evident that the boxes and drawers were rummaged through and the packing materials she paid a few hundred dollars for were removed and everything was saran wrapped. Several items broken. Photos to follow! Stay away from this company - we have spread the word to our friends in Washington DC. Action line contacted and apparently we are not the first. Run as fast as you can from this company!!!! Be sure to check the filtered ratings - more of the truth.

I did my international move from California to Argentina with this company, It was a terrible experience. After loading the truck and once the had my stuff, they asked for more money than was quoted to me.Once the shipment arrived in argentina the hadn't made the corresponding payments for me to take my stuff out the port again! This meant I had to pay for extra days of parking of the container in the port as well as more movements of the containers.On their email they tell me to pay and that I will be refunded by them, (saying is the fastest war for mw to get my stuff out of the port). I did pay and got all my stuff but it's been 6 months I am trying to collect the refund from them, I doubt I ever will by this point. If you are considering a move please do NOT use this company

Just moved from Kona, Hawaii to Oregon. The movers in Hawaii were extremely friendly and professional. This company was much more expensive than the other companies, however we had horrid experiences with all the other companies, so we gave it a go. We were very happy with our movers in Hawaii. Once in Oregon, I was given a 4 day window of when our belongings would arrive. I got a call 4 days before that, from a very rude mover, asking to drop our stuff off the next day. I had plans, but made it work. I got a call that evening and was told he'd be by the next day. He asked what time works for us, I told him 9am. He says "NO, that's too late, I have to get home!". I'm like ok, "then what time works for you?" "7am" he says. So while my family and guests are still sleeping is when this guy wants to come by. So I get up and ready, and I get a text at 7am, saying "7:30". So, this mover shows up with another guy, and they were dropping our $6,000 bed on the floor and tossing it around and cursing in front of 4 children ages 2,3,4, & 10. Luckily, none of our belongings were lost in this move. Unfortunately my paintings that were packed in Hawaii by the movers, were improperly packaged and ruined them. Horrible company with some seriously rude and inappropriate employees. Oh yeah, and they kept trying to give us someone else's boxes.
