Somehow this company has a relationship with United Moving Company--my household shipment was delivered to Mayflower in San Antonio from the San Diego area.  Mayflower picked up a couple day laborers (at best), gave them a company t-shirt to wear to look official (according to the laborers themselves), and let these guys unload at my house. They unwrapped the sofa before bringing it into the house, and dragged it down a cement sidewalk. The damage was done before I could stop them, and left a hole in the fabric of the sofa. The driver also told me the numbers were all wrong on the boxes because there were duplicate numbers and wasn't sure he had everything, but he said he was also certain that he refused a big box because it was all wet and he wasn't sure from what. I found that strange since I hadn't packed anything that could've leaked. A lot of things were broken in the very well packed boxes, and then there were problems with insurance. For what it ends up covering, you get nothing.

Broke and stole a bunch of my stuff. Paid for the broken stuff. Refused to pay for the stolen stuff. Said they had no evidence it was stolen. Well it was inventoryied and put on the truck, then when they delivered my belongings some of them were not on the truck and I don't have them, hence they are stolen. Filed a police report, the police seemed to have a pretty good idea that the items were stolen but mayflower can't wrap their head around that.  Worst part is the things that were stolen were firearms. Please for your own sanity never ever use mayflower movers or their sister company United. Both are horrible and have the wort customer service ever.

God freaking awful!I had contacted them for a quote in the anticipation for relocating for a new job and their representative emailed incessantly despite the fact I had informed her that I was awaiting finalization of negotiations for my contract.  Finally when it came time to schedule a move with the dates described well in advance and they had someone survey and send me a quote, which I am almost about to agree to and notice that the dates are 2 weeks after the predetermined move date!  After mentioning this error to my representative, she deflects blame to her "scheduler" and states that is the earliest they can do it.  I inform her that unfortunately I would have left for work two weeks prior to that, and her only solution is that I stick in storage which will cost me "a lil bit" where they can pack it and ship it for me.What a joke.  This is a two bit organization.  Totally bush league.  I contacted my employer who states that at the time of negotiations they were on the short list of company approved movers, but since the finalization of my contract they have been cut.  Mayflower didn't even let me know that they were no longer affiliated with my company, and were requesting my CC info for a deposit despite prior agreements that they would bill my company.  AMATEURISH.
