LIARS!! Was supposed to call when they were on their way. They did not call at all, just showed up. Then when I asked them if they could wear booties they said that they weren't supposed to wear booties. I called the supervisor, Cameron Hasty, who told me that his movers were supposed to wear booties and that every truck is equipped with them. I told him that didn't wear their booties and that my carpet was now dirty because they were walking on it with their dirty boots. He told me that he would be "happy" to pay for the carpet cleaning. Five minutes later, he said they weren't going to pay for the carpet cleaning and that I needed to go through the company I purchased the product from that had nothing to do with dirtying the carpet. These people are unprofessional and liars.

If you pull EDC for a military move, RUN to the transportation office and ask for a new mover.  We arranged our move more than 2 months prior to pickup.  The night before packing was to commence, EDC called to try and change the dates.  The man who EDC sent for the prepack survey was very nice and helpful.  He was the only professional working for this company.  He said it was going to be a 2-3 day pack and pickup.  Nick, the dispatcher, who had never been to the house, claimed his driver could do it in one.  I insisted they stick with the original timeline.  We were supposed to have 2 days after pickup to clean up our home & get ready to leave.  They were so behind schedule we had less than 8 hours and wound up departing San Antonio way behind schedule.    The packing crew was inexperienced and understaffed.  They sent two people the first day, they stayed for 2 hours and left.  The second day only one person showed up.  The third, 2.  They damaged furniture before it ever left the house.  The moving van was not loaded properly so our items left in a truck, box truck, and personal SUV.  Not all items were inventoried correctly.  They did damage to the home.  There are so many better movers in the San Antonio area, use one of them.

Before closing on my house, I called a few moving companies for quotes and this company was one of them.  James quoted me $400+ for a local move.  He asked for my information then announced that he will email me the contract right away for me to look over and let him know if I agree.  Nevertheless, I never received the email, so on my way to meet the home inspector at the new house, I called the company again and was forwarded to James.  I told him I never received the email.  He apologized and said he was told that per Texas law, someone has to come out to survey the items and give me a quote.  They can no longer give a flat rate quote.  He said that he just returned to Texas and he wasn't aware of the new law.  Nevertheless, since I couldn't meet that person on that day or the day after, I told him Saturday or Sunday would be good.  He said the guy who does the survey goes to church on Saturday and he can't do it on that day and he'll have to call him to see what time he can do it on Sunday, then he'll call me to tell me the time.  Needless to say, he never called back.  Once again, I contacted him the following day...more apologies, more talk about how busy they are, etc.  Well, I finally got someone to survey the items and the shocker was the estimated cost...between $600+ and $700+ for a local move.  He promised to email the me the complete quote with the break down.  Another shocker, they were going to charge me $110 per hr.  Wow, a total rip off!!  I wonder how much more I would have been charged had I actually had a full house of furniture.   In addition, I found out that James was just promoted to the Manager position...for someone just returning to San Antonio.
