I decided to hire movers and though I was apprehensive, it turned out great! The guys were great, very respectful and nice. They have no idea how much I appreciated their help with this move bc it is HOT!!!! I was moving from an apartment on the second floor to an apartment on the 3rd floor so it was allot of work! But they were great and I felt that they gave me the best deal of all the moving companies I called.

I moved with this company mid June. The move went well until the driver broke my flat screen tv off the stand. They also will not wrap ur furniture unless u pay extra, so be mindful of that. The owner said that he ordered the part, but it's July 28th and I have yet to receive the part. I have followed up numerous times to no avail. At one point he said that the wrong part came in and he reordered it, but my tv is still having to rest of a piece of cardboard. I am going to chalk this up as a loss, but wanted to share my experience with my fellow yelpers. I'm very disappointed that the owner led me to believe he would fix my tv when he was obviously giving me the run around.  If you have anything valuable that you care about I would not suggest this company. Thank you.

Called from my office to make a reservation to move a dining table/chairs from NW Houston to Baytown (45 min drive), for some time during the next week.  I spoke with George who said he could get movers out same day at 4:00.  I hesitated because I had a dental appointment on the other side of town, but he called his driver, then called me back, and said they could do 4:30.  I said no problem then, I could definitely be there, and would make sure there was someone at the other address to receive the table.  I also verified that my not traveling with the table wouldn't be an issue.  Addresses were exchanged, the time confirmed, a price was given,  I clarified who to make the check out to, and the reservation was set.   I arrived home a little before 4:00pm.  At 4:40pm, I called George to confirm the drivers were still going to show.  He is surprised the driver isn't there, gave me the drivers number, along with saying he would track them down, but I should try calling as well.  I called the driver, no answer and vm isn't set up.  I call George back, and offers to call the driver for me to get his ETA.  When he calls me back, George states that the driver had tried to reach me (they only had my office number), but wasn't far away and would be there in 30 min later. For the sake of making this long review shorter, just know there was more calling and back/forth for the next THREE HOURS.  Once they finally arrived, I was told that it was the agreed upon fee, PLUS a $20 fuel charge. I don't like to be told a price is one amount, and then be told it's another later.  I give the driver the check I had already written out, plus the $20 that would have been their tip for the "fuel charge".   Driver leaves, and the time is 7:50pm, THREE hours late, but it gets even worse:  they don't make it to the Baytown address until  10:50pm.  That's not a typo.  THREE HOURS after leaving my house they show up to deliver the table.  You can imagine the phone calls I had with the person waiting for that table to arrive.  Then the driver says that I didn't pay for the fuel charge, and I remind him that was the extra $20. He hesitates, and then says Oh, well there's a $1 something in tax that still needs to be paid.  SERIOUSLY?!  I call George the next morning to discuss, and don't get an apology until I ask for one, and then he starts furiously arguing that it's all my fault because he didn't get my cell number.  Obviously George doesn't understand his job as a project manager. He is really really arguing this point, and that the whole thing is my fault, hangs up on me at one point, then calls back to argue more. To be fair, we checked the office vm this morning, and while there were three hang-ups among the other calls, there were no messages from the driver/movers. Oh, and at one point George actually asked how I was going to take care of the $1 plus tax.
