Let me clarify....Im the "boyfriend" referred to in the review put by Megan M. since my first review was taken down because I didn't have "first hand experience" with this company....TO continue....When you pay for a service and you agree to terms, then both sides should honor that agreement. Houston Movers R Us didn't! Megan already went through everything that went wrong when we tried to use this company so I will not beat a dead horse. I just wanted to add the insult to injury that I dealt with as well...even after everything happened they still charge me for the down payment which is put in place if I screw up.....Shouldn't that go both ways?...so where is my money?

Horrible service! Worse company ever! They didn't even show up on the date that was scheduled for my move and I could not get hold of ANYONE until the next day! They came the next day late charged me way more money that we negotiated. They also lost 3 boxes on the way and I could never get hold of anyone to talk and ask for the reimbursement. They broke my sofa when moved it scratched the bed, and also broke part of the wall and never did anything about it! STAY AWAY!!!

Listen to the others and stay away.  It will be a nightmare if you use this company.  All lies and they will charge you more after they give you a "Binding Quote".  STAY AWAY!!!

Just skip the hassle. So my boyfriend and I were supposed to be moved by this company today and scheduled the movers to be here between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Throughout the entire week leading up until now everything seemed great and as though I wouldn't be one of those people who write horror stories about his or her experience with a bad moving company. Well.....I was wrong. Joe, the guy I had been corresponding with this entire time, did a good job of getting back to me via email and phone...UNTIL problems sprung up today. Like I said, the movers were supposed to be here between 10-12 and yes, one of the guys did call at about 10:45 to let me know they were on their way. Well, 11 came and went as did 12. So I called the driver since I had his number and asked where he was...and in very broken English he said something about he's sorry and that it would take another 30 minutes. Really? Another 30 minutes? I then called the office to speak to Joe since he had been so readily available throughout the previous week. Some other guy answered and said Joe was "out"....how convenient. I explained the issue and he actually said something about how I have the driver's number so I should call him..Um, I'm sorry, this is YOUR business, not mine. It's not up to me to figure out where YOUR men are. So I told him that as well as "if  I don't hear back from Joe and/or if the guys aren't here by 1 I'm canceling our appointment." So the guy reassured me he would handle it. 1 p.m came and I had received NO call from Joe or anyone else for that matter so I called to cancel. The same guy on the other end was actually shocked when I told him no one had called me. Look, dude, you had an hour to get shit figured out and you didn't. I shouldn't have to be the one making all the calls. I asked about Joe and he said he was supposed to call me. He didn't. So I said cancel. About half an hour later (at this point the guys are 1.5 hours late) the crew shows up. My boyfriend goes to chat with them and calls the office back again. What I got from that convo is that my boyfriend was told Joe WAS going to call in 10 minutes. So we hung around wasting more time waiting for this a-hole to call. He didn't call so we told the crew to go leave. Bottom line is: the crew seemed to conveniently delay their arrival as so place us in traffic had we opted to proceed with the move. Also, Joe is a big, fat liar because he said they have "plenty of trucks and crew" but obviously you're overbooking appointments. And then on the day I actually need to talk to him he's "out" but he's still texting/calling the guy in the office....just not me...? Nice. Hours later I still haven't heard from Joe or anyone else for that matter. Don't even waste your time with this company. Just go ahead and hire another.

They are scam artists! They change their contract, are rude, and demand payment in CASH. They will threaten you and bully you into getting your furniture back for twice what was quoted to you. I had them move me from Houston to Washingto, DC. I will never use them again. I had reported them to the BBB. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
